I can’t say it enough but this song is a masterpiece. Everyone’s voices worked so well together. I think though that Jungkook’s korean verses standout and are already a pop culture reset with the way they have gone viral. Immensely proud of them

Chris wanted to sing in Korean with Jungkook. And it was super cool. So glad you caught it. So far you're the only reactor who has said it out loud. Other reactors knew because of the Documentary. I reckon you'd enjoy it. Chris also wrote in the dance break in the end specifically for BTS and so if they can ever do it in real life they could dance together.

BTS and Coldplay actually did an awesome mini documentary (about 12 minutes) which shows behind the scenes of the recordings and thoughts on the song. I think the has several meanings. As they’ve said it’s about coming together, uniting with anyone and everyone, Loving who you love (despite country, gender, attraction etc.). Removing borders. However, I am sure this song is also making a reference to the music industry and media - How the world has been very dominated in pop culture by the West, and How there has rarely ever been a non-English song (painfully few) and artist at the to (with the exception of a fee latino artists, but even they had to struggle). And How an Act like BTS comes along and for the first time starts shifting the paradigme - both in terms of non-West artist and language at the top of music markets, but also breaking down the stereotype of what should sound like - they mix up genres, styles and content all the time. So as said about the mv - the borders are gone, you can love whatever music you want and interact with whomever. We all speak music. Music unites us.

This was honestly a much-awaited collab by ARMY and I’m really glad it happened. And Chris Martin was so professional and so passionate about working with BTS that he went out of his way to actually travel to Korea (despite the worldwide pandemic) to spend 2 days in recording this track with them- and I commend him so much for that even more 💜 Thank you for this reaction video! The Korean lyrics that Chris sings with jungkook are not jungkook's individual parts, but only the chorus part "ga~~". It appears exactly at the beginning of the documentary. As for the chorus of jungkook's individual part, Jimin sang a short chorus, and Chris sang only the chorus part called ga~~ with jungkook. After that, the lyrics for the English part by jungkook and Chris come out.

This collaboration was initiated 18 months ago but it is the perfect responce to German radio host, Matthias Matuschik. Coldplay made a bold statement having BTS put Korean. They took the risk that the song would not be supported by big companies like radio stations or music award shows. It shows where Coldplay stands, that they not only acknowledge BTS’s talent but celebrate their global rise. Music has no language.

As i've said before this song is so beautiful that it makes me both smile and cry at the same time but now I've seen the MV I'm crying again it's so beautifully filmed and made I'm just in love with it and hearing those harmonies again especially Jimin with RM and Chris Martin with JK it's so beautiful.
