This is the camera I was waiting for. A camera with a global shutter that can get flicker and distortion-free photographs. And most of all, capture flash portraits in all shutter speed without using HSS on the flash. Thank you Sony!!!! Global shutter!!!!!

@@jackryder6732 For Hybrid, A7iv now. If you are mainly just photography, it would have been a7iii. But right now A7iv is Sony's best hybrid camera that pairs well with their Zeiss 24-70mm F/4 lens.

Sony just conquered the entire camera line-up in 1 camera body and 1 brand. This thing would be a beast no matter what you capture... I am now just curious on the dynamic range it has, since it's a new sensor and the 1st global shutter full-frame design.

The only thing that would make it perfect all-around would be more megapixels for sports/wildlife photography. If this has 50mp or more it would be the best mirrorless ever made.

The next FX (most likely FX9 II) is getting similar/same sensor according to Adrea with 15+ dynamic range and 2,000 + 6,400 dual base ISO in SLog3. CVP already noticed the 6,400 second base on the A9III if you check their video. Getting this beast but wished for 4K@240fps and 1080p@480fps.

120 fps camera is very very interesting product to try and experiment with. There is some ideas already in my head!!!!!! 👀 Good work Sony, perhaps a sponsorship for the Gabriel Noah KZfaq channel could be very useful and also beneficial for your marketing ✌

Sony has kicked the whole market into gear and now we're going into global shutters? We're finally going into a error to get rid of all of these obvious issues with the sensors we've been using forever? Wow. Good job Sony. And I'm a Canon user but hardware is hardware and light the flames

you can shoot with what ever you like and get amazing quality what you can’t do is pass judgement on a brand based on your experience with their low end module. Which most enthusiasts do anyway.

@@dominiquepettway9164 Gotcha! Sorry I meant that I had a t2i 11 years ago and I never sold it cuz it's a great little camera and the battery still work. On the other hand, I'm a 13-year Canon user for crop + full frame 😃 so yeah I'm going to have some opinions. If you're a REAL canon user, you know what their shenanigans are. Regardless global shutter is a logical next step for sensors, many folks have been waiting on this forever. Sony is dragging Canon and Nikon kicking and screaming into the next generation of cameras. It is what it is. Canon's market segmentation has led to their crop categories not having the lenses that they should, arbitrary features missing, etc. Where do you think the term cripple hammer comes from? I don't own any Sony equipment, I have my own beefs with them. But they just made life much harder for canons years in development 1D holy grail camera.

Sony give us a 50 megapixel global shutter, put it in the FX3 body and give us 8.6k oversampled 4k video with 2 CF express type B slot. Give us better screen, like a much better one and bigger and brighter. Improved the XLR-K3m with better preamps and give us 32 bit float, partner up with Rode or something for their revolutionary preamps, or even sound devices. Rework your entire menu system, make it as easy as Blackmagic's or even Arri's, give use all the monitoring tools. Lastly, stop using image processors made for the camera industry, rework and recode your entire firmware and use processors use in smartphones or laptops like Apple M3, give us true computational photography. Imagine being a real estate agent and with 1 click, all your bracket photos immediately gets combined. No longer need to do window pulls. And do whatever it takes to improved the dynamic range, combine your global shutter with your Exmor-T 2 layer transistor pixel. Thank you.

Wasn't there just a new APS-C flagship, I don't think there is a new one coming anytime soon. Most makers completely killed their APS-C lineup since the cameras often have the exact same size now

@@shirakawamaseru Sorry, but Sony can call A6700 an APS-C flagship, but for me it is not. I really don't have a need to call any camera a flaghip. I just need a proper grip with shutter button raised a bit (as in A9iii), good viewfider in the center of the camera, a joystick and a screen that can be also tilted up, not only flipped out. Basically sony doesn't have a lot of work to do. Just take this fantastic A9III body and place the APS-C sensor in it. I don't understand why they are so stuck to this ortophedically dangerous form factor when it comes to APS-C. There is really big market for good aps-c body, R7 popularity shows it. And I don't want Canon, I like sony customizability. Please Sony, let my hand be comfortable on APS-C camera :)

@@kynio3433 That Camera would cost exactly as much as an Full Frame and be the same size. So why not just buy a full frame? Why do you want the sensor to be smaller? There is no advantage

@@shirakawamaseru Because I do wildlife, crop will give me reach. I don't want high megapixel full frame, because I don't want my computer to choke. Why do you think that it will cost the same? If it has sensor same as A6700 why would it cost the same. Look at the price of R7, does it cost the same as R3? If your logic was true it would.

@@shirakawamaseru Also, I really don't see a lot of advantages of a full frame. APS-C image quality is ok for me, however, as I understand, manufacturing process of bigger sensor is more expensive and wasteful. Really don't need full frame, I'm happy with APS-C and it's lighter lenses, but Sony APS-C bodies are basically uncomfortable crap. Some people like that, but when having camera in hand for a long time those start to be really handcramping.

A lot of people are deterred from buying Sony cameras now because of the "Made in China" look, which is something I've noticed for a really long time. And can't I just sum things up too positively. In that case, many are leaning towards Nikon, Canon, Leica, Fujifilm or Panasonic.

Why would anyone care is strange. I'm more into functionality + lens choices even if it was flashy yellow body. Also smaller body is a big plus. But enjoy what you choose.

@Bo_Hazem Because of the price, that is exactly the reason. Sony cameras have gone up in price since they are Made in China/Thailand where they cost, according to insight reports, roughly 1/3 to produce. And that is reflected in Sonys business reports too. Their revenue went up more than 3-times since the produce in China. Of course, people who can just easily afford to spend 7000$ on a camera do not care. But most people can't so they, rightfully, do care, why is it that expensive. And the answer is greed which, i do agree with, is not something good. What is technology worth that people can't afford?` Why can other makers produce their cameras with 3-times the cost and sell them for a lower price? That is absolutely and rightfully a fair question to ask. If you do not care, you are absolutely free to do so. I own 10 lenses Made in Japan and paid the same prices Sony users pay for 4 lenses Made in China with the exact same or even lower quality. It is absolutely fair to question why is that.

@@shirakawamaseru I think China makes a lot of high quality stuff and people should start questioning iPhones and other electronics first if that's the mindest. Sony cameras are much better than the competition and always have the edge in most use cases. I have the A7SIII and it still amazes me since 3 years and there is literally NOTHING comparable to it outside Sony. I would still use it for years to come without stupid stuff you get from Canon "exclusive" 10-bit to CLog and other nasty hidden jokes in Nikon as well. They simply work and deliver and make me good money. Made in Japan didn't make the competition any better, and even some Chinese lenses rival and surpass even GM, L, and Nikons top lenses with less money in certain stuff or even overall. You don't just pay for the raw material, you mostly pay for like 60% of R&D put into it.

@@Bo_Hazem I completely agree, but this was not the point. If the product costs 66% less to produce, why does it increase in price? That makes sense for nobody and even companies who buy the Sensors from Sony (like SIGMA who uses the 61MP Sensor in the fp L) do not understand that, because Sony sells this Sensor only marginally more expensive than the 24MP Version (there is almost no difference in price if you buy them in large quantity). You are not wrong with anything you say, but nothing of what you say justifies the prices from Sony (and never did). This is not a new thing. With the A-Mount, Sony had the worst 35mm f/1.4 from all other makers, from all. Canon, Nikon, SIGMA, Pentax, the Sony G 35mm f/1.4 was, by far, the worst. And, at the same time, the most expensive + it was just a rebrand from the old Minolta Lense that sold for half the price. Sony doubled the price by just replacing the Minolta Name with the Sony name and had the worst+oldest+most expensive 35mm f/1.4 for almost a decade. Sony made almost 900 Million of net income in 2022, so obviously, the customers money is _not_ spend on R&D and production plans.

Nikon doesn’t have a global shutter, it has a stacked sensor and it was years after it was released by Sony on the original A9

Why must you keep punishing us with CF Express type A cards??? I know, for additional profitability. But why when it’s at the expense of performance? Please just switch and charge us extra up front, most annoying high performance card on the market and it brands Sony.

Type A cards will eventually catch up to Type B cards. And do you not see why Sony made Type A? Because it still allows us to use SD cards as well. SD cards are slower now but they are far more affordable than Type A and Type B. Also Type B cards are huge. It's the reason why Canon and Nikon only has 1 slots of it on their flagship camera.
