I loved your reaction that when you put them on the first time you wanted to cry. I am visually impaired (legally blind with my glasses on), I am one of the first blind drivers in the state of Oregon. I wear a bi-optic lens on my right lens of my glasses and it brought my sight up to 20/40 and at the age of 50 I could drive for the first time. That made me cry. These are a wonderful tool. I also use a CCTV with a camera that magnifies what I am working on. I am actually looking at the 27" monitor and working with my hands, not looking at my hands. Both tools have made it possible for me to make jewelry and I love it.

These things are amazing. I am a quilter and do hand work in the evenings. With my age and faulty eyesight, this was becoming impossible. Craftoptics has given this hobby back to me.

I got mine two years ago and I can't say enough about them. I love, love, love them. I don't know how I got along as long as I did without them. I use them for all my crafting. Beading the most but they work great for my knitting, crocheting, sewing. Yes, they are an investment but so so worth it.

OMG! Thank you, Jill for this video on Craft-optics. I’ve been so curious about them because my eye sight is becoming so poor I’m no longer able to enjoy beading. Next week I’m taking a silver class and have paid for a year’s membership. If I’m unable to see, I may as well quit now. 😢 I love the company has so many options for the kind of design work I’ll be doing. Thanks again, Jill❣️You rock!

I spent the money for a pair last year and I love mine. I can also do my cross stitch! Now the only thing holding me back from spending all day doing beading or stitching is the arthritis in my wrists. Getting older isn't fun but being able to do my close up work again helps.

Oh, Jill. Thank you so much for this information. My sister and I are both bead weavers. My sister almost lost her eyesight as a complication of medical problems. The doctors have corrected what they could, but she is still struggling. Bead weaving is so much a part of us, and she will not give up. This can be a big help to her, and may truly be life changing.

Thank you, Jill, for this video. I just finished looking for magnifiers and thought I would tell you what works for me. I few years back, I bought new eyeglass frames. They came with clip on sunglasses. I ordered single vision lens in the glasses that include my correction for distance vision. Then, I ordered my maginification to replace the sunglasses. There is only magnification, no eye correction like an astigmatism. What I like about this is that I can use the whole glass lense to see what I’m doing. I’m getting to the point where I need to update my vision lens, but I should still be able to use the magnification of the clip-on, or I could order it stronger if I needed it. Thanks for all your shows. They are very informative. I will look into the craft optics with that great discount.
@CraftOptics
@CraftOptics 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Nancy! CraftOptics works WITH your prescription, whatever that is. If you prefer just your near correction in the entire frame (as a single vision like you describe above), then that correction would be in the frame and the magnifying telescopes would drop down in front of that correction. So, there is a double whammy of magnification happening--we magnify your magnifiers! Please let us know if you have any questions at 888 444 7728 or email us at info@craftoptics.com. Our FAQ section of the website is also very helpful: www.craftoptics.com/faq Thank you!

Oh Jill, I know those two lines so well! And I am like you, not a patient person! As for magnifiers, I really love my clip-ons, which you can get through Amazon and others. They come in various magnification powers. You shouldn't have to pay more than $10. Right now I wear glasses for closeup mostly (had cataract surgery a while back, have distance vision after many years of extreme nearsightedness). But If I want to treat myself-I will certainly look into CraftOptics Magnifiers. (The manufacturer of the clip-ons I use is Carson; they were originally made for fly fisherman who make their own flies.)

I have Rachel Nelson-Smith’s book Two Stitches, and I’m struggling with pages 16-17, her Tubular One-Drop Even-Count Peyote Stitch. But it’s not like any kind I’ve seen before. Could u check it out and show me/us this simple stitch... I feel like an idiot cuz I keep trying it but I can’t get it to work and look like what she has in her book. Look forward to seeing ur tutorial video. Thx vicky

Question for CRAFTOPTICS. 2 actually. 1. I've had cataract surgery but have a far lens and a near lens. Each eye has a specific "sweet spot" for focal length. How would it work to bring my far left eye into close focus with the magnifyer (and no headache) as well. Post op, I am lucky enough to have 20/20 vision in both eyes but near and far. Thoughts? And 2. My mom has macular degeneration. How would these help her read the paper? (What she is really missing.) Do both eyes have close/medium focus like for a newspaper (probably with the light too.) Or is the magnifyer so "pointed?' - just shows a tiny place, that reading a newspaper would be annoying? And for low vision people, would insurance pay? Eager to hear. My neck is a mess and bending over will be the end of my bead work before vision is although I will say, Jill didn't, easier threading of the needle would be a blessing in itself! I can put it down for days frustrated because I can't thread the dang needle. The PayPal payments are perfect even for those of us on a fixed income with a tiny bit to spare. If I have money for supplies, I can get these neck savers. Thanks for your answers. and $50 off for Jill stuff. Yeah. Thanks.

Tonight after going to their website, I copied my post here into an email for them. At 11pm, on a Saturday night, Jeff responded with great answers to both my questions Amazing customer service for someone who is not yet even a customer. So in response to my question about monovision, craftoptics.com/faqs/monovision-one-eye-corrected-near-vision-eye-corrected-distance-will-work/. In response to my question about macular degeneration, craftoptics.com/faqs/will-help-macular-degeneration/ And possibly covered by insurance esp for a medical condition? Thanks Jill. I'm impressed with them ALREADY. (And I'll remind my mom with her Jill credit, she can buy me a really nice Christmas gift! Lol)

I do appreciate you telling us about these magnifiers (I already wear glasses and the beads are getting smaller and smaller), but it just seemed like you were given a point-sheet and had to keep referring to it to make all the selling points.
