It took Ash's Cyndaquil all the way until Diamond and Pearl to evolve!

@@ProfessorAlexSilver Yeah but i love the Johto starters and Noctowl too, the fact that the starters took up so much time and Tododile being less developed is probably why from Hoenn onwards they only gave Ash one or two of the starters of each region.

I preferred Noctowl more tho...

Agreed, I think its Sinnoh League comeback hurt its legacy though.

Aside from that it did rack up some good wins before its poor performance at the Sinnoh League, Donphan performed great in a lot of its battles.

@@ProfessorAlexSilver Glad you agree, Professor! I figured it was high time Donphan learned one or two new ground type moves.

I think high horsepower would be a great move (It's an egg move but Pikachu learned volt tackle so why not) mostly because it charges against the opponent and in Journeys during the aerodactyl episode we saw a graveler use rollout and then tackle while also rolling, infernape used flare blitz while rolling that people thought it was flame wheel so high horsepower could become it's main move combinig the ground type and the rolling thing which is important in a pokemon like donphan

@@ProfessorAlexSilver well it's more like being somewhat fearful of the world, getting beat all the time, yet keep trying and doing your best and becoming stronger. Even though we're fearful and naïve we are playful and always curious about the world and other people which drives us forward and makes us value friendship. The drive to protect causes us to fight back the fear and get things done when we're needed. The drawback of this personality type is we can be too idealistic a little slow and fearful of truly trusting others lest being taken advantage of. Underneath the tough skin is a heart of gold that seeks friendship yet is also fearful of vulnerability, but with age we start to get better with that. This transition is what phanpy's evolution to donphan represents for me. We'll always be that same kid but with every healthy relationship/friendship it becomes easier and easier to trust others so we can enjoy life to its fullest.
