I remember watching Bowman skate in the late 80s whilst being a teenager and was completely in awe of his skill, talent and handsome good looks - complete American hero. Such a shame what happened to him with his drug issues which ultimately ruined his health and took his life so prematurely. Such a shame. Thank you for the wonderful skating memories - you will never be forgotten as a skater 🙏 RIP

It breaks my heart that he felt skating and training were his jail because skating for me was absolute bliss and freedom. I even loved doing the dreaded double run throughs! It’s too bad Christopher didn’t feel the same especially with his enormous natural talent.

Toller’s evaluation of Bowman was ominously and sadly true: “His jail, his hell will be his free life”.

I know skaters that took lessons from home when he was in the metro Detroit area. When he was present, he was really good though. I think Annette was the stronger actual coach in that situation. It is just a shame that he never was in control.

How I wish Toller were wrong. R.I.P., Christopher.

I had predicted: Petrenko, Bowman, Browning for the podium before the competition. I never in a million years had Wylie in the mix...Had Christopher done the triple triple combination for the SP, he would have edged Barna for the bronze medal.

The problem with these moronic figure skating associations and competitions is that they do not judge based on that moment of competition. If they did many more underdogs would be on the podium. Each competition should t be judged on its own volition. It’s just not fair to give someone a higher mark simply because usually they have been the champion. It’s really grossly unfair. The ice dancing competitions are even more biased in this way.
