Here is an update on my Cabin project, a bit of a disjointed video as I was pretty unwell for most of November so I was unable to film the rapid progress that Ant was making despite the awful weather, rain, cold, wind ..... nothing seems to daunt him. In this video you can spot the moment when I should have taken to my bed and stopped filming. you'll be able to spot it no bother!
But the cabin is not far from being finished. Work has started on installing the electrics, I am waiting for the window and the cladding for the outside and then it will be mostly complete. I decided to make a curtain for the compost toilet and I am keeping warm in The Last Homely House making that. So many plans for how I will use this cabin!
But in other news, the garden has been having a lot of attention from my Garden Team, Adam and Arran from Heritage Country Gardening, to put the whole garden to bed for the winter and do all the end of year maintenance that is needed . They also helped sort out the drainage around the pond area and planted a lot of bulbs. I'm really looking forward to spring when we may see some signs of them!
Deer in the adjoining field, Eileen keeping everyone on their toes and wild birds enjoying the seeds and nuts I fill up on a daily basis!
