Imagine what the area will look like 1-2 years from now with all the work you're putting into it. Sometimes it's hard to see the big picture, but it's worth it down the road. Soil compaction is simple to deal with once you've aerated the soil a few times. On a side note, Home Depot/Lowes sells a pogo stick type aerator for around $35. I own one and use it from time to time to help break up soil in certain areas of my own lawn. It's a great workout and much cheaper than renting an aerator too. Great vid!

Good day sir. I’m just a diy guy to. Had low ph a year ago or little more. I believe you’re on a good path. I believe you should start or try out using ammonium nitrate ferts. I used to do all the humic fulvic stuff but after much research I have been lead to believe that just following your culture practices, mow frequently water and a balanced npk does better and much much cheaper. I will give credit to sea kelp. That isn’t a marketing scam by no means. I mainly just stick to the old timers way of yard work and I will say my yard looks totally awesome. And yes even I love to stripe my dark green fescue rye Texas bluegrass yard. Just a suggestion.

It’s nice seeing the numbers explain some issues you may be having. I had to re-sow my entire front yard due to a sewage drain replacement (tree roots 😢) last year and will attest that PGF complete worked miracles getting me back in action. My NPK results were very close to yours prior to putting it down here in NC. This year you can’t even tell

I like the 10-10-10. Heat supposed to hit here in Md. Sun-Tues with a chance of wetness on Tuesday. A little late with my propiconazole, so I put that down with my RGS today. Hopefully caught it all in time. Watered this morning and 2 days ago and will do that again before church. Got my soil tested last week. Ph good but I have to push the fert. Actually calculated my Sq.Ft. I was only putting down half of what I needed. Dolp!!!! Got all our heads spinning. Praying we got it right Mr. Ferguson. Have a Blessed weekend!

Stripes are identical to your spray patterns from your drone footage. My opinion is there is too much overlap when you sprayed Ornamec 170. It’s nice and green down the center of your passes.

Brother you are spot on, in regards to the Ornamec spray. Saw this immediately as well and thought “Harper” 😂. I think… that it was sprayed too heavy on trim pass and could have killed or almost killed that turf. The lawn does seem like my spray pattern was an issue too. I think the Ornamec is the culprit and you were spot on. Could be wrong, but I think you are correct. Another lesson learned. I shouldn’t have touched the 170, and did this spray instead. Looking forward to a redo in fall! I appreciate your feedback brother. You convey it in a positive way and I appreciate that.

not sure you have the option but I know you always say watching you mow or spray the lawn is boring and every channel does that.... well, us lawn freaks like that stuff. Nothing lawn related is BORING. Even if you setup the camera on a tripod and you just time lapse it with some overlaid music for a few minutes (like you did the spraying in this video). Its not a bad thing. It kind of completes the video. You do an AMAZING job of explaining the details of what is going on and the chemicals being used. Probably better than most youtubers. Just wanted to give my thoughts. :) Ever thought about doing a wish list for subscribers to help out with the "project" lawn?

It’s a challenge but you’re doing a great job on the project lawn. Just need to boost the NPKs this Spring, I think the pH will increase steadily over the year from your past applications, and I’d still make sure to relieve soil compaction throughout the year. You could try the four play or hydretain applications seeing it doesn’t always get ideal watering. To control the fungus, I’d simply follow the yard mastery plan applying disease ex then 5 days later applying bio advance liquid fungus control. Good luck!

I would suggest Earthworks 3-3-3 it has Mycorrhiza which will help out the roots.

I was also thinking a 1-1-1 derivation would save so much money and time. The Humic and other soil amendments are not necessary until you get the NPK numbers better. Throwing everything down at once its hard to see what is actually fixing anything.

Low on NPK, I know you said use a starter fertilizer, but seems best would be go with milorganite, it's 6-4-0

Yea, but you have to use a whole lot of it to with such low numbers. The organic part is great, and we may do just that down the road in the summer or so.
