Merry Christmas!
Only 6 days left for the challenge! Get your videos up! There's going to be prizes!
(Ideally having ''Rc snowmobile nitro'' in the title would help me find them.)
Also, I forgot to add to the video is that one of the things to improve is the motor mount, it was a block of wood and a top ''engine head'' bracket. It was not a bad design per se, but it can definitely be improved. I'll do my best to to improve it!

I wouldn't do a two speed as snow builds up in and on the sled it will change the shift points . just put a .21 or bigger engine in it . It will have power for days . you don't need to water cool them engine . Its hard to get them to run at a proper temperature in the winter . We would have to cut fines off the head sometimes to get the engine to come up to the right temperature . Can't wait to see what u come up with .........

Can you clarify what you mean by snow build up? The gear rpm is what dictates the shift, so im not sure i understand your point. Evan waterless does not have as high heat transfer as water or 50/50 mix. Meaning the entire sistem does run a bit hotter. I have not yet done my break in for the engine, so in theory it would adapt to the break in temperature. It will never run in the summer so i think the engine clearances will be just fine.

@@Pascal_Robert--Rc_Creations What I mean by build up is . All the snow that will get built up in all the nook's and cranny's and in the track will just add weight to the sled and the shift point will change . like on a wet snowy day you will need to change the shift point because the sled will be heaver and have to work hard because the snow is wet . So you would need the sled to shift later to stay in the power . On a day when the snow is not wet and heavy You will want it to shift sooner because the sled does not have to work as hard . Nitro engines run like 260 to 300 degrees . But I could also be over thinking it to .

@@walkerjohnny72 i see where youre going with this, But in reality the transmission shifts based on the gear RPM and not on the load of the gears. So if the engine leaves the power band and is getting less power, then you shift into the 2nd year in you regain the power band back and get to higher speeds. The way that I have designed the transmission for this snowmobile, I do not think snow buildup is going to be a problem. If it does, i'll probably make a gear cover that will provent snow contact. Thanks for the feedback, Sometimes I missing stuff and you guys input are helping me out figure out problems ahead of time ;)

A suggestion to could use a glow igniter for plane and use the batry pack for the rc control one batry only

Do you think a CVT transmission is possible to use in the sled?

Yes, it'd be extremely difficult to make it work in the small space, but tamiya has made a cvt transmission called the ecodrive that has a belt and real working clutch. But i dont think that can handle the torque of a big bore nitro engine.

Start with the most difficult challenge first and solve it. Then build around that solved problem. Fundamentally, a sled is just two skis and a track, the rest is up for imagination :)
