I'm so excited that I've come across this series. I picked up a 88 mc18 j2 last night so looking forward to taking in all the info on offer. Great first video, thank you 👌

MC18 is probably one of the best bikes I have ever owned. It is bullet proof. I owned the black, silver and red one.

The sweatband on the front brake reservoir comes from the racing scene in acknowledgement that the rider will probably crash at some point, and if the reservoir cracks it will limit how much of the bike gets covered in brake fluid. It makes me laugh seeing them on road bikes as it suggests the owner has doubts about getting home in one piece!

Great stuff mate! Looking forward to seeing it develop. I’m mid way through my FZR1000 project (also on my channel!) and would love to do a trick 2 stroke next 👌🏼

I had a 1988 mc18 when I was 28 an it was rapid! It wheelied on the power band its 1 of the many bikes I've owned that I wish I still owned now. 1, they have nearly doubled in value. 2, you can't find good ones anymore. 3, they're light weight but still capable of mixing it up with the big boys!. There's many reasons why I love small 2strokes, iv just subbed ya and I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with this little beauty!!! Cheers andy Liverpool UK 👊✊💨👍

Dude, you are my “across the pond” doppelgänger. Hoping to pick an NSR up next week 🤞and if I do I’ll let you know. Btw I agree with everything you have said about 2 strokin’. Keep up the good work!

Did you get your nsr mate?
@franklinwilkerson20612 жыл бұрын
@@stevethedonful not yet. I almost bought a NC35 but ended up getting a clean '04 SP-2 (the opposite of a NSR I know). Two strokes are so hard to find here.

The pipes on that bike are made by Tyga Performance - Very nice.

Thanks. I saw the name on the silencers, wasn't sure about the expansion pipe. Thanks for confirming!

Hi Barry, it's 1988, but you're correct. I made a mistake. It sure is a MC18!

To be honest, I'm just happy to hear that someone wants to hear me rambling! I started this on a zero budget. And if you watch early episodes of Project TriBSA, you'll notice the sound was terrible. But I learned how to adjust it a bit in the edit. I might ask my Mrs for some proper gear for Christmas. Thanks for watching!

Thanks mate. My usual stuff is old British iron. So this makes quite a refreshing change!
