I totally agree, you should never try to purpose at someone’s wedding. It’s me and my husband’s time not yours 💯.

I agree with you 100%! I think it’s very selfish to want to propose to someone at someone else’s wedding. I actually find that it is the lazy alternative & there was no thought behind it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also, as someone beginning the wedding planning process, I agree with not wanting kids at my wedding as well as people asking for +1s. Kids can be difficult especially when they are so little & it would be unfortunate if the parents can’t fully enjoy themselves. As far as +1s, it’s very simple.. we don’t know you, you aren’t invited. Weddings are expensive, no matter how simple you make them & it’s not fair to have to pay for someone you don’t know just because it’s your friend/relatives let’s say.. fairly new partner. Sorry but not happening Anyways, I am very excited for you! 🎉

I 100% agree with all of what you said! I will say for people to NOT understand that they shouldn’t bring anyone not listed on the invitation is a faux pas on their end. They are either unaware or don’t care. You shouldn’t have to state that anywhere. BUT, the fact of the matter is people have to be told these days every little thing so I don’t blame you for doing it either!

💯 Agree no kids in a wedding especially small ones & is not bcuz we don’t love kids. We love kids but sometimes it’s inconvenient having kids in huge parties. Wat u said it really makes sense my beautiful niece 😆🙏❤️💋😘😍👍

Re: no kids. I went to countless weddings as a kid and I’m grateful for that bc they were fantastic experiences that let me become closer with my extended family on all sides. Kids can entertain themselves, especially if there’s other kids. But all the weddings I enjoyed had receptions where there was dancing. The others were boring and i didn’t care. At the same time, depending on where the wedding is kids can be a liability. The catering is more expensive for dinner meals, and if alcohol is involved it can be potentially unsafe (drunk people stumbling around stepping on a kid running around is the mildest risk). Allowing kids allows more family to come because then parents don’t feel tied down. At the same time, if I ever get married I’m probably not gonna allow kids. I have a huge family and simply can’t afford that

There is serious narcissistic energy in the logic that YOU are selfish if you don’t allow someone else to take time at the wedding that you paid for to propose. So out of the 365 days of the year, they are choosing the ONE day that there is an event that took months, stress, and thousands of dollars to plan to celebrate the love of one specific couple to do this? THAT is selfish.
