A photograph from space showing the rising Earth becomes a symbol of environmental protection. Since then, humanity has learned a lot about the delicate balance in the Earth system and the dangers that threaten it. Today, space travel is a major driver for understanding and protecting this unique celestial body. The documentary "Earthrise - Mission Climate" looks at the blue planet from space and explores the role of humans in the Earth system.

I cannot greatly enough express how much I appreciate voice-over translations as opposed to subtitles. I do a lot of listening while I drive. Having to read removes a video's consumability for me altogether.

I could not agree more. For some reason there is this "thing" (for lack of a better word) surrounding the preference of subtitles. Like you are unsophisticated or even xenophobic if you are disappointed over subtitles. You have your situation and then just the simple fact that I am trying to *watch* a motion picture not read. If I am reading subtitles then I am staring at the bottom fifth of the screen most of the time. Especially if it is an informational picture - there may be charts and graphs or footage of extreme weather like this one that punctuate the point they are trying to make. I saw a video on YT a few days ago about all the empty job sites in Florida because of the law recently passed regarding employment and immigrants. I'm not here to talk about if the law is just or anyone's political opinion, its just for context. Anyway it was all in Spanish. Without them describing what is going on it just looked like job sites at lunch or right after quitting time but still daylight out. They didn't even have subtitles. In short if you can not understand what is being said - or if your attention is drawn not to the action so to speak but to the bottom of the screen then you are needlessly missing out on at least 50% of the whole experience but sometimes I get the feeling like it is some sort of offense against civility to speak up about it.

Usually I'm totally fine watching english videos, but when i hear german now and then, it's somehow screwing up my brain a little. First time watching english video with german original. Couldnt find the original. Whatever.

Universe is so recourseful that even if there were trillions and trillions of humans, each and every one could live like kings only if we had enough technology which we are getting to step by step. Just look at the living standard of people who lived 500 years ago. So much less population should have lived better but they didn't. Why? Coz they did not have the technology we have.

The belief in God is the reason half of the human population dosen't co-operate with the other half of the population to combat climate change and will be the reason we will do nothing to change either.......You will suffer through climate change exactly the same as someone who doesn't believe in God. If no Religions existed today we humans would have nothing dividing us from pursueing mutual goals for our species survival....ironically fossil fuels are made from extinct dinosaur life by many believers in God, that at the very same time think the World was created 5,000 years ago and so means Dinosaurs couldn't of existed....yet there what you are using to pollute the planet, emissions from burning things you don't even believe exist....and we wonder why these people believe such childish fantasy when they know in reality it is made up, their own parents brainwash them when they are young to believe this nonsense.....imagine if we didn't tell any kids about any Religions until they were the age of majority 18yrs old like we do for most things, and when they were 18 we told them of all the different Religions and asked them what one they wanted to join when they are at the age to choose for themselves through reason.....how many people do you think would be Religious in the World today, almost no one would have any interest in joining any

We can restore our beautiful planet if we do reforestation and conserve the natural rainforest like Amazon from destruction. We can't decimates ecosystems and biodiversity and expect smooth ride. Weather we adopt clean energy free carbon emissions and we don't have natural vast of rainforest and natural ecosystems the problem is going nowhere. I hate our scientists for ignoring the fact that the main problem is deforestation and they only concentrate on greenhouse gases as the sole problem. We either agree on comprehensive universal lands reforms and replanning for conservation or mother nature will do it for us in a very hursh way. It doesn't matter how rich you are or how beneficiary you are for paying researchers to lobby for your personal interest, when global disasters strike it won't choose status, it will deal with all of us equally and indiscriminately. Plant trees and protect the one that is left with everything you've got, your children future depends on it. When I say plant trees, I don't mean exotic one but indigenous one.

Atmosphere that made life possible? Our oxygen rich atmosphere was produced by Life. It was the ocean and its hydrogen rich ultra basic serpentine rock that made the emergence of life possible. To me, it was earths very fast spin and large and close moon that would’ve provided the tidal heating for the enormous churning of the mantle that caused the special chemistry that absorbed The early very CO2 rich atmosphere, and provided the chemical conditions for life to emerge.

Earth's greenhouse effect is in deep saturation from the strong greenhouse gas water vapor to add 10°F (5.55°C) to earth's average temperature and can not be changed by other greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide. The greenhouse effect uses up all the greenhouse energy within 20 meters of the surface. This was freshmen high school science when I went to high school. The back pages of the 200 page United Nation's IPCC science report discloses it took its greenhouse gas samples at 20 THOUSAND meters altitude far into the stratosphere where water vapor is near zero. This is a typical scam. The author's made a legal discloser to hopefully protect themselves from criminal fraud. Only a high school level of education is needed to understand the IPCC took its greenhouse gas samples where they are not considered active. Global warming was reported at 1.1°C in 1991 and the same in 2022. At average 1% tropospheric water vapor concentration 99-1/2% of the greenhouse effect is from water vapor.

The sun hasn't changed in it's behavior and thinking that just because man figured out how to convert fossil fuel energy to actual work that man now is the dominant force driving climate is just stupid, disingenuous propaganda designed to force man into alternative fuels that are far more damaging to the earth than fossil fuels ever will be - such as the massive mining and processing operations required to turn rare earth minerals into solar panels and wind turbines! Here's a novel idea.....With 10's of thousands of immigrants sitting around in our country, how about putting them to work. I can see 10's of thousands of acres of wood and brushland in California that could be cleaned up with raking and mulching so that we don't have to blame climate change for out of control fires in the urban sprawl areas in California. Areas that should not be occupied as they are naturally dry as a bone for big parts of every year or two. If they don't like this kind of work......They know where the border is to get home.

And ends it with the fake moon landing., Ugh ,. Why have we not been back to the moon in over 50 years if we truly went there in the first place? Like hello????

The answer is simple. Just go examine why we went in the first place and you'll have your answer. Amazing what you find out when you do proper research.

So according to scientists.. it is all just luck that earth has everything placed in the location where it has to be to light up and heat the earth, to protect the earth, and everything else they have is just so excellently in place for the earth to survive. 🤔 Hmmm there has to be a better reason than just the fact that we happen to so lucky 😂

Charcoal chicken traditional pizza is not a factor to restrain the global warming as much as the things the working people do that having cars and smart devices are not going to be any help. I would rather have better weather trees and plants in the world that globalization is isolating people because of the social dispersement and therefore cultura l sizes
