Important items that I would add: You DO NOT not need an expensive theme park ticket to do Goofy's kitchen!! So do this on a day that you are not going into the Theme Parks. Next there is a separate parking area for Downtown Disney/Goofy's Kitchen. Yes, it does cost money to park. Yes, it costs much lower than the all day parking pass. Yes, they give you parking discounts if you buy something or dine at Goofy's kitchen. Goofy's Kitchen is about a 2 hour guest dining experience. Complimentary 3-hour self-parking is included with a Goofy’s Kitchen validation and is available at the Disneyland Hotel self-parking lot. After the initial 3-hour period, Guests will be charged $35.00 for the first hour for self-parking. Each hour after that is an additional $10.00 for self-parking (up to $75 maximum). Bottom line: Should you spend 2 hours of your “valuable" Disney theme park time, "eating inside the theme park" at an "Expensive" sit down restaurant? Just remember that Disney has lots of other great dinner experiences, outside of their theme parks, that you can attend on your “non- theme park” days. The average Disney theme park ticket, with Genie plus, and taxes runs an average of $140.00 per day. Most guests average 8 to 10 hours in the park. At 10 hours that averages out to $14.00 per hour. So sitting in a theme park restaurant for 2 hours is costing $28.00 per person of your time in addition to the expensive meal. Additionally, the number #1 reason for taking time off work, flying, renting a car, and hotel, is to enjoy the theme parks in the first place. So if you include those costs, the hourly expense in the theme parks is really a lot higher!! So make sure you use your theme park time wisely.

It was my dream to go here for my birthday and a few years ago, my hubby made it happen! It was a BLAST! I didn't stop smiling and laughing the entire time. I'm so glad I didn't listen to others who said it was not that great or that it wasn't for adults. So much of Disney is AMAZING as long as you have a childlike outlook and just be in the moment. Goofy's Kitchen is my favorite birthday memory with my hubby so far!!

I love how adults get upset when there are kids at Disneyland. It’s DISNEYLAND. I know provost doesn’t mind because he’s got a son but being a local I always just out laughing when I hear people complaining that there were too many kids at Disney.

We took our 8 month old at the time to Disneyland to eat at a character meal. It was the best experience we ever had!!! We saw you on our trip last November but kiddo was eating so we didn't want to bother you. Thanks for your amazing videos!

Hey Chris- I loved this video so much. It's really great to see Goofy's Kitchen back open. Every time I went to Disneyland as a child, this was always a must. One memory I can share with you is: I was with my family and Cruella De Vill came over to our table. I got frightened by her and I shook my head no. My wife and i ate at Goofy's kitchen on our last trip. Oh man was it the best experience ever!!! It was such a blast and Pluto was my best fried! We kept having fantastic conversations and just enjoyed dinner so much! I cannot recommend this enough and this is now a staple!

That looks cool at Goofy's Kitchen. I did the character dining at the Plaza Inn during the breakfast hours when Disneyland did D24 in 2013. It was the most amazing time to get to see all the characters while we ate our breakfast.

My husband and I got breakfast character dining at Plaza Inn for my birthday a couple of years ago. While it was just us two adults and some of the characters didn't spend tons of time with us, Winnie the Pooh (my absolute favorite) gave us tons of hugs, gave both me and my husband kisses, and spent probably 2-3 minutes with us. It was such a nice treat, especially as a childless couple. I would 100% recommend character dining when it fits into your schedule and budget. It is definitely a highlight for us each time we do it. (Not to mention one of my favorite childhood memories at Goofy's Kitchen where Governor Radcliff from Pocahontas stole my friend's hat and the Genie had to come over and "save" us from the bad guy.)

I went in May of 2022 and the characters still weren't coming to the table. They just came out and did there dance but wouldn't really stop for photos or anything. Glad the interaction with them is back!

I did breakfast with Goofy. Actually had reservations, but they let me move the time UP. Got to spend more time in the park. Still have the button + wear it when Disney on Ice comes to Houston, TX @ the restaurant where I work. The food is good + a great way to get into that Disney MAGIC before a day at the park.

Your exit video hit me a little harder today. No matter what you do there’s mum guilt, if you’re a stay at home mum you have guilt about not providing for the family and have financial strain, if you’re a working mum you have guilt that you’re not spending enough time with your kids, if you forget one of the 50million things your other kid needs or has going on at school you have mum guilt. My 2 year old has recently dropped her only nap and she’s absolutely not ready so gets overtired and difficult so I get overtired and frustrated then mum guilt for being frustrated when I know she’s just tired. Point is your best never feels good enough as a parent. Sending love to all the other struggling parents out there 💕

My granddaughter celebrated her 5th birthday at Goofy's Kitchen. Another boy at a table next to us was celebrating his 5th birthday as well. They ended up meeting each other, dancing together to the parade music, waving their napkins around, and then the little boy planted a kiss on my granddaughter! 😘 We were all surprised, since the little boy was so shy when they first met. His dad said, Wow, this IS the most magical place on earth to get your first kiss! 💋 🥰

We just booked tickets for Disneyland in August! So excited! We would love to do sit down dining, especially character dining or Lamp Light Lounge but aren't sure if it's really worth it since 75% of our group are vegans. Would you say probably just stick to their great window vegan options? Seems like most of the sit down restaurants just have one vegan option per menu category if that.

Unless you must do this, I'd suggest not going to Goofy's Kitchen--at least not for breakfast. We were there in March 2023. The food was so bad as to make the investment ridiculously poor. I am not kidding--the buffet had gummi worms in oreo dirt, a cheap-o 1" sheet cake, and those costco mini cinnamon rolls. The scrambled eggs on the line were like water, to the point where I asked the omelet station guy to just make me 4 plain, scrambled eggs. The meats are paltry. The bacon was undercooked to be chewy. My 5 yr okd said the Mickey waffle "wasn't for her." A 5 yr old said that about a waffle. LOL I can't sugarcoat it. The food was bad. The characters do stop by the table, albeit briefly. The busier they get, the less character time you get. Honestky, we found we had longer and better interactions inside Disneyland.
