It's freakin' sweet. It stays fast throughout the ride. Crazy turns and air time all over the place. Everyone seems to love it.

I got on this for the first time last night, and I was surprised. I did not expect it to be that fun, and it goes real fast, which I love about it. The best time to ride this is at night because it makes it even more fun. This is probably my favorite second roller coaster at Worlds of Fun next to Mamba.

This is my favorite roller coaster at Worlds of Fun for several reasons: 1. awesome speed and airtime 2. perfect location in the park (going under the train bridge is cool) 3. Most of its layout is concealed by trees (just like classics such as Zambezi Zinger and Orient Express had) Which adds mysteriousness and adventure to the ride experience and even a bit of intimidation for that matter. 4. Its less than 100 foot height (85 to be exact) is very decieving as the ride packs a serious punch!

I had the lowest of expectations yet was amazed. That thing is crazy fast and awesome, I didn't regret it.

Prowler is super smooth! It is an incredible ride!

My aunt went to this park today while in the area. She bought a Prowler shirt for me. Now I REALLY want to come out and ride this (and all the other rides at WOF too!)

Looks like the kind of GCI we haven't seen since Thunderhead and Ozark Wildcat. Epic ride.

one of the best things about the prowler for me is the adventure of it, the novelty. i'm not 100% completely familiar with the layout, or the building next to it, and all that good stuff, like i am with the timberwolf, mamba, pat, or boomerang. great coaster

GCII coasters are very good at retaining smoothness. Many of their coasters that opened 10 years ago are still nearly butter-smooth. And when you're on a terrain coaster like this, it is very intense and full of airtime.

THIS LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL

I'm very excited for the day you ride it and you have to leave the park early because you legs are still shaking an hour later. You have absolutely no idea how intense this ride is.

Cool, I'm impressed. If I can get out there one summer, I'll try it out. I don't think it'll top the Timber Wolf as my favorite wooden coaster ever, but I'll give it a fair shake. I'd better stop watching the video before I memorize it.. lol

@Rawhesh Thanks for the thought, but me and my dad rode it a week ago, and it was awesome! It didn't hurt his neck at all. He rode almost every ride there, we just didn't wanna wait in line for the boomerang, so we skipped that. He was a little stiff at the end of the day, but other than that he was fine.

Its an awsome ride, I rode it 19 times in one day, 7 with out getting off.

No way man, The wolf is by far the best ride in the park if you can handle it.

It looks like this video was sped up a lot but looks like an amazing ride. The hill from 1:11-1:14 looks like it is going to provide so much airtime!

fun ride if i saw one of my lil brother on that he would scream through the whole ride.This would be a rather fantastic and fun ride.5/5 :D

Its no Timber Wolf yet a great ride. Highly recommend riding it on halloween weekends with the dense fog, its great there's parts you cant see an inch in front of you.

The Prowler ate the wolf. I was at WOF when the Wolf was new. It has and always will be a injured filled bumpy mess that need to come down and make way for a new futuristic ride like the PROWLER! It rides smooth not like the wolf. My friends brother was badly injured on that ride. Be great if the park could or would put some Sandusky Money into this park. Love this park. Its Home for me.

@sawyerman22 Both mamba and prowler are awesome! But I do like prowler a little more because of its layout through trees and its fast pace, but mamba has awesome airtime! lifting out of the seat with arms up in the air on the first two drops is definately a fun sensation and so is keeping arms up completely through the head chopper on the helix! So ya mamba is also cool Lol.

I tried to ride this last Sunday. I was next in line and they had to shut it down due to technical difficulties...well, there's always next year, lol.

haha...i've ridden 2 wooden roller coasters and those were the rebel yell and the grizzly at kings dominion and after that i could barely move my neck without it hurting lol but i can't wait to ride this one

Yes, I agree that Voyage is one kick ass coaster, but I don't consider it to be a woodie because the structure is primarily reinforced by steel.

This ride is so much faster whenyou're actually on it. It's 10 times better at night too. It's not very shaky at all.

yeah its really smooth, i just rode it for the first time like 5 times yesterday, it is a little rough, but nowhere near as rough as the timberwolf. its like the mamba, only a little bit rougher and nowhere near as fast

thats the reason i don't like wooden coasters but i hope the prowlers as smooth as they say

This was my very first roller coaster

Tried riding this damn thing last year but couldn't because of my cast, tried to ride it again three weeks ago and it had just shut down for technical difficulties! It's trying to avoid me but I WILL tame it this summer.

@MioRaem It really is true. I rode it this past summer. Absolutely wild! It's extremely fun and definitely one of the best woodies I've ever been on.

The pacing of this ride is very intense, the entire thing is very low and elements are taken very fast... the bump at 1:11 is a killer lol. Definitely more intense than its meager height would make you think

WoF need to make a new POV imo. One when its summer and not as dark. Completely different atmospwhere.

The POV is real time. During testing GCI confirmed that the ride is only 45 to 47 seconds from the top of the drop to the brakes.

I have a question for WoF. On the rides are you allowed to tape, film, or photograph? I have seen videos on KZfaq of Worlds of Fun POV's. So are you allowed to do it?

has anyone else noticed that when the train first connects to the chain lift, the section of the chain under the track behind that gear bounces up then smacks against the metal frame under the chain?

Is this roller coaster jerky? My father had neck surgery but he wants to ride it, but since its wooden we are not sure if it is a smart idea. Is it pretty smooth, or is it like the timberwolf was? (all rough and shaky.)

@soldierfront03050 i wouldnt ride it if i had neck surgery recently. its VERY smooth for a wooden roller coaster, however, the thrill of the ride is that it is fast and jerks you around corners unexpectedly. the seats are very comfortable and the ride is MUCH better than timberwolf. so it is tough to tell. i would probably get a doctors opinion

dang this ride looks slow, but i've never ridden it but i really want to cause i see how you would launch in the air at those turns, it looks crazy

i rode this twice in the very last seat with my sister and it felt alot faster than this video shows.i really like it though especially at night in the dark but when i went the timber wolf was closed cuz a person was standing there and no cars were going or anything but i hope they get rid of it cuz its too bumpy

It only takes like 20 minutes at the most. That's not that bad. I waited 2 hours for Top Thrill Dragster a couple years ago. When it first opened, people waited 6 hours.

That is what we in the business call "completely illegal and against all common sense." Get out to WoF and ride this thing IMMEDIATELY. It is fantastic. Absolutely perfect.

I absolutely can not wait to ride this!@!! What's so bad about it not going upside down and being made of wood, people?! Take The Beast at King's Island; it's huge and rated well and made of wood without going through inversions. Mamba at Worlds of Fun doesn't go upside down. Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point don't either. There's nothing wrong with wooden coasters.

OMG, why does everyone think that just because it's made of wood, it's the same as Timber Wolf? Patriot is made of steel, but no one said it was the same as Mamba. For the millionth time, Prowler is NOTHING LIKE Timber Wolf. They are two completely different rides that use different elements to provide different experiences. They are no more similar than Patriot and Mamba.

I was let down by Prowler. For a coaster which is technically *new* it was way to rough. It seemed like the lift hill was too big for the rest of the ride.

"...The Boardwalk Bullet didn't win best new ride of 2009..." Of course it didn't! It opened in 2007! Although, Prowler was #6 in the Mitch Hawker Poll & Boardwalk Bullet was #44.

Anyway, Prowler is the best coaster in Worlds of Fun hands down. It simply proves that a roller coaster does not always need to be over 100 feet and made of steel to be a classic, kick ass ride!

Nop, The wolf is by far the best ride in the park its bumpy but that's what helps make it the best.
