Thank you for the commend and visit! I almost did that but decided I needed a larger table due to the foam sheets I use come in 4 x 8 feet (1.22 x 2.44 meters). If you might have a need to cut larger sheets and have a little free time, take a look at kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ldajeKVk3sish58.html, where I build 2 table extensions for cutting larger pieces, one from wood and another from foam. It might give you an idea or two.

I did not place a washer with the red wire. I will have a look at the assembly manual tomorrow when I get a chance, but I'm pretty sure you aren't meant to put one there. If I remember correctly, the washers are meant as spacers for the knob that holds the hot wire (without them there, the knob may not tighten enough to keep the wire spool in place). If you put this video at 1:41, there is a little beige box with 3 screws in it near the middle. This is where your wire goes down into and where the small electrical current originates from, passes up through the wire, through the guide head, into the arm. When the current makes it to the bottom of the arm, it goes into the red wire and back to complete the circuit. That's all the red wire is for. If you had put a washer in with the red wire, it shouldn't hurt anything so long as the hole in the washer isn't too big for the screw, in which case it could cause a loose connection. Since the washer is galvanized (aka zinc deposits) it is a conductor, so it will still let the circuit complete. When I re-read the manual, if I find something that makes me think this answer is wrong, I will respond again, otherwise if you need some more help, let me know.

Hello, Heidi. I just back from the shop and I completely misunderstood what you meant. I forgot there was a very small washer on the screw itself and I thought you meant one of the three larger washers for the knob. The way mine is set up is the arm > red wire terminal > tiny washer > screw. If you have the the arm > tiny washer > red wire terminal > screw it should not matter and should operate the same. If its not working in the 2nd configuration listed, then the tiny washer isn't conductive, in which case you'll just need to swap the order to match how mine is. Ultimately though, as long as that tiny washer is conductive, there is no "wrong way" to set it up and not a fire hazard. So long as the circuit completes and the wire gets hot and cuts, everything should be copesetic. My apologies for the wrong info in the first reply.
