No worries, it was still early in the day. We'll ride it once it's back up and running. We make it through the queue, which was absolutely incredible. We boarded the little droid-piloted vehicle, aaaaaaand it breaks down. "Ugh, whatever, it's fine. We're going to Disney World this summer anyway." :(

OK, a more meaty comment -- part of the issue with the subscriptions page is if you're subscribed to a lot of different things -- like, a mix of topics? It all gets blended together, and I wish there was a better way to sort different channels on your subs page based on the different types of content you like. I end up defaulting to the home page _specifically_ because it lets me sort that way and not get overwhelmed trying to find something I'm in the mood for lol.
@toxicsugarart21033 жыл бұрын

@babydollface3 жыл бұрын
there used to be. You used to be able to categorise your subscription and only browse like "gaming" or "asmr" or whatever else, but youtube removed that feature seemingly for no reason and never replaced it with anything
@austin4211luckE3 жыл бұрын
I think the reason for the 60/40 sub vs non sub viewers is because ProZD's content is more appealing to a variety of audiences like food, reactions, board game reviews, voice over and so on where as Jenny has a more specific type of content where the topics change video to video but they basically are all just her talking about a thing. So someone who wants to watch a board game review might just watch the one vid.
@contrapasso3 жыл бұрын
I feel like the Trending page is hand-created. I’ve never been able to see any kind of pattern that makes sense. They promoted Shane for years when he was making documentaries and his views were in the tens of millions each time. Every Jenna Marbles video was on there, sometimes alongside a video from her partner Julien Solomita. But they also light up semi-small creators and LOVE to highlight the vaguely creepy kids channels run by adults (the ones with those cringy thumbnails SungWon was talking about). Plus, anyone who’s giving away money in a challenge (Mr. Beast). IMO the algorithm is for the home page and sidebars and they do Trending themselves to create an image of the platform.

I think the fact that so many of your videos blow up on Reddit contributes to the fact that you have so many people watching but not subscribing. I feel like someone coming from Reddit to watch your video won't take the time to subscribe because they just want to jump back to Reddit right away.

CLUE BOOKS! I loved those Clue books. The first story would always be a Mr. Boddy murder story, where the resolution page would explain how he didn't really die. The middle stories might be thefts or murder mysteries of other characters or whatever. And the last story would also be a Mr. Boddy murder story, with NO explanation of how he didn't really die. Because he did. ...Then the next book in the series would start with a prologue explaining how he didn't really die. They were weirdly brilliant like that.
