This is one of my favourite bonsais of yours. It’s a shame one of the trees died 😔 Still looking good though. Can’t wait to see it in its new pot. Thanks for sharing

Really like your forest arrangements, and this tree in particular. It would work really well as a stand alone or in a penjing.

I was wondering about your Yew. Thanks for the update. I hope it survives. One thing that this hobby has taught me (besides patience) is never get too emotionally attached to you trees. Good luck. Thanks

What a wonderful creepy crawly start to your bonsai. You made me smile!! Liked the cameo appearance of Billie Bunny as well. Your serissa is one of the best I've seen. I understand that they are very difficult to keep growing. You surely have the "magic touch" with it. Does it ever flower?

try planting the yew in pure sphagnum moss and keep it well shelterd but not too warm over the winter and it may survive!

really love your channel and i find it's the best channel to learn about bonsai. How often do you water your bonsai? Also can you create some series about intricacies of the art?

Bummer about the yew. I have to say that it looks much less healthy than any of the five that I collected this spring. Do you think it was the timing?

This is hysterical! I recall maybe more than a decade ago people on the now defunct bonsaitalk were up in arms about a picture of a dead rodent caught in a trap where someone had over wintered their trees. Nigel you are a twisted man..... but in a good way...... like on an old pomegranate tree in a aqua colored Chinese pot. I'll be laughing about this for a while. Thanks

Hey Nigel, this tree is really amazing, how old is it?

Hi Nigel, always nice to see your acacia style serissa. Is it me? or the camera angle/distance, but the leaves on the serissa look bigger than in previous videos. If it is not just an optical illusion, I wonder if they are suffering of something. After you removed the dead trees, at first the back tree looked "wrong", kind of too close to the main tree, but looking a couple more seconds, that tree gives such depth to the composition. Amazing. For the taxus maybe in a cold green house for the winter.

Hi Nigel. Sorry to see that your Yew tree is not doing so well. What if you would cut away all of the dead branches so all the nutrients will go towards what is left and green to help strengthen the living branches? Would that possibility give the tree a better chance of survival? Just a thought.

Thanks for reestablishing the black background. I kept meaning to mention to you that the trees you've worked on recently were often hard to distinguish from surrounding trees making it difficult to tell what exactly you were working on.

Hello...sorry to pop up with this question but does somebody know when a serissa veriegata blooms? I have it since this last december and it was 7 years when I bought it. I love it so much but I'm not sure if I take good care since it hasn't bloomed yet...
@TheBonsaiZone4 жыл бұрын
They can bloom any time of the year. If given enough light warmth and humidity, they will grow quickly and bloom.
