PRV 6MR500-NDY 6.5” 6-1/2 speakers sound test Taramps DS440x4

2 PRV 6.5 neo speakers in my Tacoma powered by a Taramps Ds440x4 amp. These speakers are impressive. I am only running the two prv speakers in this truck. I do not have any of the factory speakers installed nor any other aftermarket mid/high speakers.

I have 3pair of these mids and a prv 1200.4 I'm gonna run to them. This gives me so much hope they will be loud with my subs and so clear. They are so under rated and top of the line.

Can u tell me how u will wire them to the amp 6 speakers 4 channels exactly how do u do it cause I want the same set up just 2 of these sound good I can't image 6

Damn 4 for 200$ is a solid deal. More than worth it. Yeah man throw 1000 rms at them and they will be very loud.

How do u have it wired to the amp is it bridged or are u only using two channels

Nice are these the v3's? I just ordered a set. Glad they finally made them round and the push terminals are nice.

I’m not sure which version they are but they do have push terminals so I assume the V3.

Yes just the two 6.5 prv speakers. Prv makes excellent full range speakers. We just put 2 8” prv on my buddy’s boat on this exact $90 amp. I posted the video recently.

There are no tweeters. This is only the 2 prv 6.5s. No other speakers in this truck at all.

So are these underpowered then cause I looked at the amp specs and it doesn’t even seem like they’re getting half of rms power

Amp is underrated brother. Look at “Williston audio labs” dyno test of this amp on KZfaq. 175-185 watts per 4 channel and roughly 300 watts bridged per channel x2 (which is how I had these 2 speakers wired).That’s rms power. So the prv were likely seeing right at or a hair over recommended rms power.

@@Relentless-jp5qs there is not crossover adjustment on the ds440x4 amps. There is only Full/lpf/hpf. I have it set to full and I believe I have the crossover cutoff on my headunit set to 100hz but I don’t remember I set it all last year. The prv 6.5s frequency response is 90 to around 12,000hz.
