Does you use the power switch as a sync button or is it separate? Does this work for 2 Bluetooth controllers? And what happens when you plug in a controller and a controller is already synced? Can it be updated over bluetooth? So many questions for such a great mod! 😁

Hi! Actually this installation is just the integration of the ESP32 into the console. It actually works with 2 controllers in bluetooth (for example P1 - PS4 and P2 - Xbox one. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use a bluetooth controller or not, but it's a good idea to use a bluetooth controller only. It is also easily possible to add a switch on the power wire. And the bluetooth update capabilities are there, the console just needs to be turned on without a controller connected ;)

Also, one more thing. Are you using the esp32 without any devboard? Looks like the module itself. Is it programmed in a programming board and then took off and installed in the console separately as the wroom module itself?

that's exactly it !!

Hi Gusse! What kind of solder do you use? If it’s leaded, how do you prevent cross contamination?
@Gusse Жыл бұрын
Hi! I might disappoint you, but I'm not that expert to answer your question which is very precise. I don't know what cross contamination is? can you explain it to me? The solder I use is an old stock that comes from Switzerland, and I don't have a label on my rolls that indicates the composition 😉

@@Gusse I’m assuming it’s leaded solder though right? I’m just wondering how you stay safe with touching your phone etc while soldering?
@Gusse Жыл бұрын
@@alexdev5809 oh ok I understood! in fact it is especially the fumes which are harmful, I make sure not to breathe too much, I have to get a smoke extractor it's clear!!! concerning the soldering wire, the deposit is theoretically minimal or even non-existent, it's not paste, and if not, well I'm going to die of lead poisoning 😥 but if not, guys such as Alex From @NorthridgeFix, Louis Rossman, Jason from @STSTelecom use lead solder but they protect themselves from the fumes above all, after that if you have a scientific medical opinion I'm a taker even if I think it's too late for me

Hi, Can we use the 3.3v power line from the controller connector to power up the esp32 module via the 3v3 pin?
@Gusse Жыл бұрын
Yes it’s what I do if I understand correctly your question
@g_host98 Жыл бұрын
@@Gusse Yeah, I noticed the white thick wire soldered to the center pin of the 9pin pad connector footprint which gives out 3.3v. I’ve seen some other people using 8v rumble motor line powering the esp32 via 7805 regulator which I found ridiculous if there is working 3.3v line 😅 thanks

@@g_host98 indeed, it's a bit heavy as a solution I find... but there is maybe a reason for that... I don't know, I went to the easiest and cleanest for me... I also use this point for the chip installation too (see my twitter account or my website ;) )

What chip are you using ?
@Gusse Жыл бұрын
if you mean modchip: modbo 5.0; for blueretro it's an ESP32-WROOM
