Yeah in the comics she could do way more and she's actually powerful. But this only has one season so hopefully in the future they'll renew a second one.

Kwannon is now Psylocke, and Betsy is Captain Britain. Betsy always wanted to be in her original British body, likewise with Kwannon. They are two separate people. Marvel did the right thing, reverting Betsy back to her old body. It was never originally intended for the body switch storyline to go on for so long. Chris Claremont stated that Betsy wasn't supposed to be in the asian body that long, but after he left, the other writers just let her hang and never resolved it until a few years ago.

​@@timothymoore6341it was actually never intended to be a body switch in the first place--her body was said to have been magically changed to look more Asian, but still her body (which was how wolverine recognized her by sight the first time we see her as Asian); the writer after that didn't really know the original story and just assumed she just have been body swapped, which led to Revanche/Kwannon's creation as since he assumed Betsy was body swapped, he figured the original body must be out there somewhere. It also wasn't "the other writers let her hang," it was a conscious decision to keep her Asian bc her popularity grew substantially once she became a sexy ninja in a bathing suit. They actually had multiple opportunities to put her back in her original body, since she died and was brought back by her reality warping brother (who could have brought her back in her real body but apparently decided not to), not to mention sisterhood when she was actually put back in her original body (and mind controlled), but they ended up destroying that body again like, immediately so she they could keep the Asian design.

Agreed. This makes no sense. It’s why I think Wolverine and the X-Men is such a weak X-Men show

Mainly they just don't want two telepaths on the X-Men for redundancy reasons and don't have the balls to give us a version of X-Men that doesn't have Jean in it. Same reason Emma is always an enemy in adaptations even though she's been an ally for longer than she was a villain.

@@Thecharliesruiz No, the feats speak for themselves. Psylocke has more variety than Emma since Psylocke has telekinesis and is a trained ninja. However, in terms of purely telepathic feats, Emma is the more powerful telepath. Even in terms of how the others speak about Emma shows it. Betsy has complimented Emma's powers above her own twice, Jean has referred to Emma as a force of nature, and Emma has always been considered equal to Xavier.

It's more because they want to use telepaths like Xavier Jean and Emma before Betsy so they usually shoe horn her in as a bad guy, sadly

She gets made into a villain the same reason Emma always does--they already picked Jean to be the X-Men 's telepath and don't want to add another but are too cowardly not to have X-Men without Jean

@@baixiaolang Good point. Emma I get because she debuted as a villain and was one until Generation X. Betsy/Kwannon/Psylocke is kind of a different story. Usually because none of the adaptations really look into her outside of image. I’d say that, usually in X men, you want the morally good woman and the pragmatic woman of a team. Storm is usually that character but you can also have Dazzler, Dust etc Here’s the thing with Jean; she thinks she’s the good person. And thoroughly believes it. Which is often validated when she’s the only one on a team. The difference between her, Emma and Psylocke? Emma and Psylocke have no illusions that they do messed up stuff.
