Excellent video, I've watched a lot of diy to learn how to change bearings on my boat trailer but this is the only one to explain the whole procedure in easy to understand detail.

I've packed and replaced a million bearings in my day, but it's always good to refresh the memory when you ain't done it in a while. That tip about removing that little burr before putting the hub back on was a great tip for me. I have an old Roadrunner dual axle trailer that crapped out an inner bearing on me this weekend, and it made that little burr. I'd never seen it do that before, so I thought it was some kind of lip or flare from the factory,. Thanks, brother !!

I think the last time I did wheel bearings was on the front of my 65 Mustang back in the seventies. Thanks for the refresher before I tackle the bearings on a 12 year old Cycle Mate cargo trailer I am fixing up to pull behind my motorcycle on a 2700 mile round trip ride from NC to Texas and back :). Knowing I have properly serviced them will make the trip much more enjoyable. Excellent video and instruction !

As a soldier and retired Motor Sergeant I serviced plenty of hubs seals and bearings. Your bearing service is SPOT ON! I am gonna use the anti-seize compound on the next boat trailer that I service. Thanks again!

I have a boat trailer that I converted to a combo flat bed- utility trailer & can easily convert back to a boat trailer. I usually take it off the road after December, plate expires then plus the snow & try to get my maintenance done before I put it back on. I have packed bearings before but did not have to change the race. Your video has very clear directions, is easy to follow & enjoyable to watch. Even if one never pulled a wheel off before he or she should be able to do this after watching. Stay well , Joe Z

I used that old race ground down method. Worked great! I don’t have a press, but took my time with a copper hammer. My friend always said “Grease is cheap”. I think people with Bearing Buddies get the idea that you can grease and go.....forever. Still good practice to service bearings as you expertly showed, once a season. Thanks

Hi from over in New Zealand, i'm in the middle of stripping down my trailer for painting and noticed the seals had been leaking a small amount of grease. So off to the parts store for a couple of bearing and seal kits we go. I am quite happy and confident in doing this job but thought I would check out U-Tube for any tips and tricks for this and your two videos were the first to come up. D-Ray well done sir. Im a jack of all trades master of none sorta speak. I just redid all my bearings and brakes today. I was youtubing bearings and found a BUNCH of jack legs not explaining thing and not doing it properly. I watched Pt 1 and Pt 2 and like i said before well done sir, well done.

Best videos I found on the subject. Just replaced the bearings on my Carry-on utility trailer and this video was just what I needed. Just an FYI, if you need the bearings for a tapered spindle that takes the 1-1/16 and 1-3/8 bearings it may be cheaper to buy the Duralast bearings at Autozone individually instead of the Carry-on pre-packaged kit. I saved $4 that way. Also used their loaner bearing driver set to seat the bearing race.

Great video. I have worked on many larger trailers and didn’t know what I had with this small utility trailer. Almost all videos I saw just showed how to fill it with grease and nothing more. This shows they are pretty much all the same through 10k axles. I just didn’t get the bearing buddy part but now I do

Good video, Thanks for posting! I just found some overly loose bearings on one of my car trailer's hubs, and needed this refresher to remember that the seal's are one time use. Also, bearing buddy is probably going to happen since it can be put on any old axle shaft.
