Part two of a four part series. The TRX300 is a really great atv, but this is a common weakness I have seen time and time again over the years
Here is th' link for th' cable luber.

The cable lube widget you showcased is okay I guess for cables in really good shape. I’ve got a few, never had much luck with em. You are very correct about servicing cables b4 they go bad or seize. Lemme share this awesome tip shown to me by McManus Cycle in Eldorado Arkansas. Remove cable at the lever on the handlebars(or any origin like a throttle cable ect.) take a zip lock bag, cut the corner out of one side just large enough to get your cable into the bag, then seal the bag around the cable with rubber bands and/or zip ties. At this point you can rig something overhead to tie the bag up in the air. Put motor oil in the bag and seal it(not a lot prob 3-4 oz) let it be over night and you’ll find a small puddle at the other end. The cable will be slicker than owl sh%t and will remain lubricated for a long time. Penetrating oil will work too but it doesn’t hang around as long as mtr oil. This trick has saved me a ton over the years! Thanks and good video

A friend just gave me a 90(I think) 300. Sticker in front of ATV shows 1990 but owners manual shows 1996. The first thing I am doing is making sure the engine will run. Carb cleaning is the first thing I am going to do, then the front CV joints. I think the rear axle may be messed up. Thanks for you very detailed videos. They are great and will save me a lot of money by doing the work my self.

Hi and thank you very much for the information. Nicely done. Just one question. Did you ever think about the pressure you are putting on the balls when you press the bearing into the housing, pushing on the inner race? That can actually put flat spots on the balls in there, depending on how much pressure is used. I was always taught that one should never push on the balls or rollers when pressing a bearing in. One needs to just find a big enough socket to fit the outer race and push on that.

Great video!!Thank you so much! I watched your video and was able to change the bearings and fix the brakes on my boys 4 wheeler with no problems. ..so for the guys who laughed at me when I said I would fix it myself...maybe you should watch D-Ray's video so you could learn how instead of the boys mom!haha!! Thanks again for your video!

Thank you for pointing out that there is no shoulder the outer race pushes against when pressing the bearing in. I thought I point that out because people do all kind of things and by simply pushing on the outer race that will never happen. I do not know how tight that is in your case and how much pressure it takes. I have pressed in many bearings on cars and they are tight in that steering knuckle. Now ... if there is no shoulder, what holds that axle from going left to right?

Hello. Great videos! Got a couple questions? How hard is it to change the bearings in the differential. The other side on the same machine. My only concern with my wheeler is the break drum cover was filled with dirt and water. The outermost seal on the left side is still good. Do you think I should change them? Also the reverse shifter, oil seal is leaking oil. Do I have to take the whole engine cover off to replace that or just use a pry tool like some of the videos I see on KZfaq and push another one in?
