Great video, enabled me to diagnose my problem to an impeller fitted the wrong way round, by a supposed pro. Just to add, my gear linkage has no adjuster nut, which baffled me for a while, it has to be disconnected from the top end with a clip mechanism. Right pain in the butt it is, too.

Good job...easy to follow..just make sure to the entire videos before doing the work..this is not the first time I have do impellers.but on other brands..I was rushing then I realized I missed couple of good tips

Great video I have a 50 horsepower blue band it lay in a farmers shed for 20 years I have in on my speedboat for the last 3 years still pumping plenty of water but I think I'll change it thanks for the video I'm sure I could have done it anyway but best to see a expert like yourself show how it is done so when you go to do it it's like the second time you've done it but in my experience I'm a welder by the way I get plenty of lads with boat engines coming to me to take studs out it can be a bit of a nightmare I'm sure mine will gave the same bother if they just had put a we bit of Greece when building the engine cherrs

The kit I ordering included the 2 gaskets under the pump housing, You might want to add that fix too. my2cts good video tks

D Ray. Need some help. I just replaced the waterpump on my 2008 Mercury 50hp. Put it all back together n water comes out just fine but it now sounds like its trying to go into gear. Is this bcuz my linkage is off?

What year is this motor? Mine is ELPTO 2006 50 hp two stroke and my shaft and direction of impeller fins seems to be going in opposite direction vs this video.

do that one come with that copper water line on it ,do you have a video on how to install it

Hello. Would you happen to have the part number for that impeller? I have the same motor and having trouble finding the correct impeller.

i dont know if you edited this video or what but in this video when u took it apart there wasnt a washer on either side of this impeller, whats up with that

Hello D Ray I took my 50 horse mercury to the shop has a water pump replace couple days later when I fired it up to see how the water pump was doing motor is not going forward or reverse I guess they missed the measurement on that nut on the day that you mention to go in forward and reverse If you could tell me how to solve the problem thanks JJ

shit, mine is 2005 , 50h.p., merc, both shops here tell me the washers on either side of impeller are obsolete, i hav one it looks nylon, your other one looks copper, is it. ?
