Another great video upload this channel just keeps getting better and better every day nigel from London uk 🇬🇧 is all booked up and coming 8th of December he contacted one of the budget guest house hotel he has stayed before and got a very good deal $9 per night room with shower tv kettle etc near the Riverside area everything in walking distance he will be using that travel agent you coverd in one of your previous videos down at the Riverside to book a return ticket to sihanoukville Kevin his freind from New York America 🇺🇸 will see see him at this place when he arrives 10th Jan not seen each other since the pandemic still in contact with alot of freinds from USA outstanding coverage of cambodia on this channel well done John 👏

An off topic question for you. What do expats there do for health insurance? Pay as they go? I have been shopping around for just in patient insurance in case of an accident and it can be quite pricey especially as one hits the age of 68 up.

Correct, I've been living in Phnom Penh Cambodia for 18 years when I first arrived I bought health insurance but when I turned 60 the costs trembled so I canceled it. My friend from USA is 70 and he pays $598 a month. ME I don't have health insurance don't ride and motorcycles or drive any vehicles : I take a tuk tuk everywhere or walk tuk tuks have accident insurance and walking if any types of vehicles hit you , then they are responsible. As for injuries 2 years ago I tripped over a paver on the sidewalk woke up 3+ hours later under surgery lights I had split my head open and was unconscious some people called an ambulance and I was taken to hospital spent 3 days in hospital at no cost as I was unconscious on the sidewalk, but if I had fallen over and broke my arm and walked into hospital then I'd have too pay . So I've never driven any type of vehicles in Cambodia being a foreigner you are always at fault. Lots of people comment, why do I always walk looking down , now you know why I'm now 74 waste of time paying for health insurance I'm from Australia where all health insurance is free from the cradle too the grave. If I needed any hospital care I'd go back to Australia I'd check with your own country about being insured rather than in Cambodia but have heard Forte Insurance is good from Cambodia all had to have health insurance when faux covid19 crap was around so those that entered Cambodia took out Forte insurance

@@mysterycambodia Thanks for the detailed answer. I didn't know I would be covered if I was in an accident while in a tuk tuk or got hit by one. I'm a veteran so I have healthcare with the VA along with medicare. Can't use either overseas though. Good to know. Thanks again. Great video by the way.
