I got an old friend here from Leigh just shown him this you done a good job of it, he remembers a couple of the pubs.

Used be a good night down leigh many years ago...used walk it back to horwich many a Friday night...

God i remember when i was at school and in the early 90s we used to sit outside the video shop and watch all the scraps outside the fleece

@@barryknighthodkinson i think so ive drove past and it was last time i noticed its ot a shame leigh was full off pubs most of them are closed or knocked down ,i even vaugley remember on on westleigh lane i think it was the oddfellows arms i remember going past as a child seeing my auntie in there

@@herrickmaster77 Oddfellows Arms I remember but that seems like a Million Years ago. I seem to remember the Locals called it Snuffies. Shame about the Red Lion. I always call in there when I come back for a visit. Mind you it's 12 years since the last visit

The Railway pub was on East Bond St., not Brown St (North or South). Great film collage, though. Thank you.

The photo of the Railway pub on Brown Street (1 minute, 18 seconds), also shows Millers estate agent. The Railway pub wasn't actually situated there. It was round the corner

I was coming out of the red lion pub and trod in some dog muck, mind you it could be worse, I could have been coming out of the red dog and trod in some lion muck. thanks to the rochdale cowboy for that one.

@photographicleigh It's says Pubs of Leigh Not all the Pubs of Leigh. I made it with all the photos i coiuld find.I'm pretty sure there are many more I missed but which one are you refering to ? maybe I can make another show and call it " To all the pubs I missed before". Thanks for watching anyway.

@ianroady Hi Ian, Well these pubs have been there for many years ,in fact a lot of them are now closed down and have been for a while. I no longer live in Leigh and haven't done so for 30 years but the last I visit I made I did have a drink in one or two. Can't understand you don't remember any of them unless your thinking of another town called Leigh.

I can think of two I missed but didn't have the photo's Lord Nelson on Bradshawgate and Oddfellows on Westleigh Lane. Where in leigh are you ? Barryhodkinson@fiberflex.dk
