Well this is something I never thought I would be doing when I bought the X3 Xrs less than a year ago with only a few hours on it. Dude, call SXS Blog before you start putting everything back on. Update some much needed parts IE bulkheads, exhaust, control arms etc. You know they'll steer you right.

Man..... you guys are good. I spent 3-4 hours mounting winch to my turbo s last week.....just got it mounted.... ran out of time to even touch the wiring...!!! No way I could get that thing back together!!

Cool to see you rebuilding the Canam and doing the frame swap by yourself. I work on these daily and am in the process of rebuilding my own. HMU if you have any questions or even advice as far as making these cars more durable and simpler to work on. Good luck!

Awesome project guys. Hope you got plenty of thread locker and a couple torque wrenches. Rebuilt my quad and that seemed to be the most time consuming part of the rebuild. Question, I know a sound system is nice, got a nice setup in my truck, but is it really worth it on a sxs, quad, or motor cycle. In my experience, it only sounds good when its not running. Just run a head unit system that jacks into the "new comm. system" you put in. Maybe you can use it for recording audio too? Just an idea.

Don’t flip the shocks. It will wear the oil seals out quicker with dirt and mud and sand debris, setting on top of the seals. They will leak

Where did you procure the frame from? I'm debating buying a salvaged X3 and can't find any anywhere that isn't a full race frame and cage.

Can Am saw my video and sent me the frame and parts I needed to build it. If I were to do it over again I'd buy a race chasis. It's the same amount of work but you'll have a far superior UTV when you're done

Instead of putting rivets back in just use self taping screws that are larger then the existing hole size!

I can even freeze it in its natural state with the fur and guts as she would get it in the wild.
