*** Why Hunt Hogs? ***
My journey into wild/feral hog hunting started like many others living in rural communities. I didn't start hog hunting for fun or sport... I did it because I had to. My father-in-law started me on this path several years ago when he asked me to help out with a problem. You see, hogs cause millions of dollars of damage and destruction each year in rural communities and our situation was no different. Hogs were destroying our land, our family's land, and the land our family tree farming business. The vast majority of hunting videos that you see on this channel are hogs, boars and sows, taken from family land... this problem is personal for me. We have had hogs come as close as 20 feet from my front door, and having 2 small children at home and knowing how aggressive and dangerous hogs can be, getting rid of the problem was a safety concern. This is why when people ask how I got into hog hunting... my answer is always "I didn't get into it because I wanted to, I started doing it because I had to!". It's a personal fight and struggle...

*** Why Hunt Coyotes and Predators? ***
Coyotes and Predators, similar to hogs, cause financial stress for many families in rural communities. Coyotes kill livestock, plain and simple. Ranchers have battled coyotes killing cattle since the early days of ranching and it costs them dearly. Cattle ranching is a business, the cows aren't pets, every time they lose a calf to a coyote those families lose a paycheck. Cattle ranchers hate coyotes just as much as Farmers hate hogs! I hunt coyotes to protect the livelihood of my friends and neighbors that depend on their cattle business to feed their family...

Now that the Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 is out, what do you think about it? I tried it and made some videos and love it.

Sorry if I missed, but does the thermion series do incremental zoom: 1.5x-1.6-1.7 and so on like the trail series does, or does it just double the magnification 1.5x-3.0-6.0 etc?

Hi! I have an armasight CO-MINI GEN 2 PLUS HD. I use it for wild boar hunting from a blind ...at a maximum distance of 70 yards. With my device I can tell if it is a male or female , but can't really see tusk size.... I was wondering if this would be something that with the pulsar XP50 I could obtain. Thanks!

How does the thermion compare to the trail? Is one a cheaper option? Does it replace it? I'm in Australia and can't find much on it

What is the eye relief on this and have you had any trouble with this scope holding zero. I’ve read a lot of reviews that pulsar has had a lot of trouble with them holding zero.

I'm thinking the Red Monochrome and Septia may end up producing less "white out" or whatever it is called when your eye has been at the eyepiece for a while then has a dark spot that takes a bit to recover. Will interested in what you and Jason think about that. In this video it definitely looks like a lot less blue light transmitted in those two settings.

hunted with an ATN ThOR 4 50 and a Thermion east of Dallas last weekend. Image on both scopes is so similar I think they are using the same core. I know others wonder the same thing especially when side beside same night same conditions. Hopeful FLIR brings the 640 boson or 1020 Ultramax core to the game SOON! Their HD cores would make everything obsolete overnight if put into a rifle scope.

How are you guys uploading videos onto your pc, KZfaq etc an keeping the quality of the video?? No matter what I do my videos are blurry if not viewing on the app. I have a thermion xp50

You need to post video on youtube after some time when video is fully louded like or 6 hours you will have good quality

HansETX, is that normal for the lines to flash across the screen when fired during recoil, just picked up an xp50 and noticed this in my scope display, not only in the video recorded.

I have a trail xq50 and it does not do this, maybe i can save the company some time and live with it, its not bad just wasnt expecting it to happen, thank you for confirming. Now that i look into the xq50 i do see it also, never paid attention while actually shooting. thanks again!

How does the focus compare to the Trail? Are finding you have to constantly adjust the focus on the Thermion?

Is Pulsar discontinuing the trails models in favor of the Thermion? Do you prefer the Thermion XP 50 or the Trail XP 50?

The Convergent Bullet HP is close to $300 but it’s the best one I’ve heard for hog calling... I understand what you mean though

They also have something now called a sidewinder, (I THINK) that can fit your phone for the sounds & to your rifle if you'd like to. Don't remember how much they were.
