Finally a pulse video for this machine. I've been waiting for you to make this video for a while. You do the best job of teaching out of anyone else I've watched.

Thank you so much.I have been tig welding for years. I learned with a ole scratch start machine I peace together. I then bought a miller transformer machine. I have no formal Training. I,m a machinist not a welder. I purchased a primeweld as yours about two years Ago. You have taught me more in this video than I knew in 30 years. I subscribed & can not thank you enough. You need to become a teacher.

very good way to tell people to learn to control the arc first.. Im a 30 year arc welder, tig very little, on a OLD School Hobart tig100 machine. the welder is as big as a small car. just got this welder for my home shop.. your help to get me started on the settings really helped. my video on the 225x will be out in a few weeks.

I do have a same machine, great budget AC/DC Tig only wish they put better scale around knobs. Kind the hard to guess on some settings when working with aluminum or do pulsing ..
@replyhere590 Жыл бұрын
I've seen it suggested that you shoot photos of your happy settings for later reference. The 325 actually reads out on each and all of the settings as I understand it. No memory function as with Blue Red Green Yellow digitals, but I am thinking this may be simpler and better. More reliable? And less money.

Can you use 4T to start solid on the 1st push, then pulse on the 1st release, then back to steady then off? something like that?
@timhelms94952 жыл бұрын
I really like the way you use the blue to indicate which knobs are used and how to set them. Do you have some charts for each of them that I can print.. don't have internet at the shop. Thanks

How low can you get your amperage in AC tig mode with your frequency all the way down? My machine won’t go less than 19 amps. This machine is advertised at 10amps?
@amcustomfab2 жыл бұрын
I think the 10 amps is DC only AC startup is a little higher
@Coinazoid2 жыл бұрын
@@amcustomfab Any chance you could turn yours on and tell me what your lowest amperage setting is in AC?

Ok.. I'm new to this and I bought the prime weld 225x specifically to weld two 1/2" aluminum I beams together..I plated them, drilled and bolted them together..but I still want to weld the seam to make it solid and stronger. What's the best settings on the machine for 1/4 and 1/2 inch aluminum..??
@amcustomfab2 жыл бұрын
225 is definitely going to be pushing it on half inch aluminum but to give yourself the best advantage I would do a couple of things. 1.make sure you have the water cooler because you're going to need all the amperage you can get and the ck-17 is only rated for 150 amps. 2. To make sure you have something that you can preheat your joint with whether it be a propane/map gas torch. Or an infrared heater. I would bring the joint up to around 300° plus before you start welding to give yourself the best advantage possible. 3. I would crank your amps all the way up. And drop your hz or frequency down a little bit somewhere probably around 60 . And turn your balance down a little bit too to wind up your puddle somewhere down around 60 as well. Good luck 😎🙏👊 and thanks for watching

now I have followed several who show their machines at 220v / 50Hz. But what are the advantages of a machine that is at 400v. which companies use when in all only shows 220v. tik. welder. I stand to have to buy my first machine. I live in Denmark.
