Hello guys, at long last I have finally been able to get around to making this video. I will admit, this video was very difficult to make, because champions mode itself only gives you 3 chances to mess up during a match. So I am willing to admit that I did have several retries when making this video. I did cut them out in order to assure that the video doesn't drag on for several hours. But really, if you think Defender Mode and Mac's Last Stand were hard, you've only seen the tip of the iceberg, and this is not even including getting 3 challenge stars on each opponent which is a whole other topic for a different video.
What is Champions Mode?
Champions Mode is done in Exhibition Mode as a part of a series of challenges you have to complete in order to technically complete the game in 100% fashion. The thing that sets this challenge apart from the other star challenges you have to complete is the fact that it changes the game entirely. Its basically a 1 hit knockdown, and after 3 knockdowns, you're dead. Along with this, small details to fights are changed. For instance, normally characters flash red before throwing punches, or flash yellow when there is an opportunity for a star punch. They take all of that out of the fights. You are left to deal with them through precise timing, and most of all, no mistakes. However, there is a catch... In order to unlock this mode, you must first beat 10 opponents in Mac's Last Stand (which I have another video on). So be sure to practice those Defender Mode characters before going onto Mac's Last Stand and making your journey to gain Champions Mode and become the GOAT at Punchout Wii.
