Punitive Seed Laws: Kenyan Farmers Sue Government To Court

It does not make any sense for any government to make laws that inhibits its farmers from sharing indigenous seeds amongst themselves, just so they promote patented seeds from foreign seed companies. It is immoral and evil. In Africa, indigenous seeds represents culture, the people’s way of life, a rich tradition that has been handed down from generation to generation. The government should amend unfavorable seed laws and allow local farmers to freely share and sell indigenous seeds. It is their right as a people.

Local seed banks and seed markets are important. The native crops should always come first but theres lots of beneficial imports that shouldnt be ignored either. I dont support GMOs tho.

Agreed about the local seed banks and markets. But one has to be very careful with seed imports, especially if you cannot tell the genetic makeup of the seeds, their health status, and if they will do well outside of their endemic environment. We humans are property of the powers that be....thats why we need to be given permission to use passports to cross imaginary lines. We are subjects of the governments...we put ourselves in the subject position because we trade our freedom for convenience and illusions of comfort 😭😭

I do not agree with this statement that "We humans are property of the powers that be"...the so-called powers that be seemingly have such power because the people chose to give them such power over them. The day the global people wake up to take that power back, the system will collapse. And thats what needs to happen
