Found myself quietly weeping over this. The last time I cried was many years ago when we lost our almost 17 year old Tri. You did everything you could for Watson - more than everything. And even though Apple may not show her loss of Watson in ways we discern - she is clearly worried about YOU. Your pain and anxiety is going to her, so it's so good that you are being positive. So very, very sorry to all of your family. You are good people.

Poor little Watson ! As my mother said when her Blenheim boy passed away (at the age of 15 and 3/4 years !), "Heaven has another angel now ..." I am so very sorry. Poor little Apple just very sad about this and I feel for you. When we brought our little Oliver home he came home with a coccidia and he was very very sick needing a transfusion, oxygen and was at the vet for a week our breeder was so caring and supported us with regular calls and emotional support. Our Oliver I am happy to say pulled through at the time we were given a very small change of survival. Today he is a strong boy who is our pride and joy. He is now a big brother and he is the most caring and emotionally aware dog. Again I am so sorry. RIP little Watson

So sorry to hear your sad news. Our breeder had a summer last summer like that. She bred her ruby female for the last time and the mother only had two puppies. The female which was promised to us was failure to thrive even though they tried EVERYTHING. The breeder passed us on to a breeder she was mentoring and we were able to get our little Ruby girl but I know the breeder went through a lot trying to save her little pup. This year she has a female who had a huge litter of puppies. Very good video explaining the chances and work breeders have to go through as well as the heart ache. Your pups are so lucky to have you both!

My condolences on your loss. I know your pain. While I never bred Cavs, I was a Himalayan cat breeder for about ten years (back in the 80’s) and we lost several kittens during that time, gave CPR, bottle fed some (never had to tube feed). We quit breeding cats when we bought a farm and started an animal rescue and we received pregnant animals of all types and most were suffering from neglect and abuse. We suffered losses with the rescues as well. So I understand your sorrow. Life does go on. Our prayers are with you. Thanks for the videos. My wife and I are loyal followers. We recently began raising our Cavalier family (we have four right now, a Blenheim father/son combination, Sedona and Zorro and tri-color sisters, Tinkerbell and Tiger Lilly) and your videos have been terrific assets in helping us raise these little guys. I am very familiar with aspiration pneumonia as I was a nurse for almost 30 years. He was so young and that is a lot for that lil babe pup to fight through. I am and have been a fan of all your dogs for the past year since getting my Charlotte. I think they are all special in their own ways….I watched Apple as a pup (because Charlotte is Ti-color) and just thought Tag was a darling….too much sad news in such a short time !
