It's not "OVER" until the court makes a verdict and MLB makes their decision. Until than, I don't look at it because who really knows the full story that makes these videos on youtube? I highly doubt anyone does.

Idk why they arrested Franco if they were lying to him the mother should actually be arrested then didn’t Karl Malone do that KNOWINGLY and not get in trouble at all just like Giddey? But in Giddeys case he didn’t know either but Malone did.

If Franco really didn't know and made an attempt to distance himself, then his "outward show of contrition" or whatever they look at should vindicate him. Hopefully Tampa releases him and the Braves pick hm up.....(won't happen but one can dream).

This does not look good at all. If everything is all true, man alive, what a catastrophic fall from grace. I feel terrible for the Rays organization, the players and the fans, not their owner. Their owner is a cheap ass. But if all of this is correct and he's guilty of a crime, I do wonder if the Rays ever pay out a big deal ever again. If he is guilty, I hope he never plays a game again. If he is found innocent much like Trevor Bauer, I wish him the best at getting back on track. But if true...just why? You had it all, and you threw it away for a minor. Hope the mother gets is charged with extortion. All i will say. Although i don't offer wander much sympathy because looking at the girl, he could have verified her age before sleeping with her. She looked young enough for you to think "hmmm, i'm gonna try spy her id or something or try find a document with her age just to make sure" but i wish the worst for the mother. CANNOT STAND people who want to blackmail and extort people for money. Its putrid and a lot of what is wrong with this world

He hasn’t been found guilty of anything yet. This pisses me off. Just hope that you never find yourself having to prove yourself innocent for something like this to people who forget about due process. If he’s found guilty, sure. There’s no punishment too harsh for a Pedo. But none of you idiots know anything about his case or the people that are accusing him. You’re the same group that threw Trevor Bauer under the bus when he had done nothing wrong. He’s still paying for it.

I think the main thing is his immigration status if convicted. If he is acquitted then he should be able to get on with his life. Still alot to be played out before long-term decisions can be made.

I think at this point, even if the contract was still valid, it would possibly be aiding and abetting a wanted fugitive to give him his pay.

There's a chance that his contract could be terminated by the morality clause that's standard in all MLB contracts. The players union doesn't like to see contracts terminated, though. Most likely there would be some sort of negotiation between lawyers where the Rays can pay a portion of what's owed and void the contract, rather than the morality clause being used.

"shall fail, refuse, or neglect to conform his personal conduct to the standards of good citizenship and good sportsmanship or keep himself in first-class physical condition.''
