Herbs are used for flavoring a dish and greens are generally leafy green vegetables you'd use as a base for a salad or to enhance a dish or smoothy with added nutrition, but any geeen vegetable is considered a green like green beans or edamame.

I made this and I love it; I added fresh squeezed lemon 🍋 in Plain yogurt with garlic yum yum 🤤

Haven't had this for ages! Will definitely make it if I can find purslane :) We also have a more liquid version of this where you actually cook the purslane and then mix with yoghurt, cucumber, garlic and dill. But then it is served cold. Do you also have this version in Armenia?

Thanks for this new idea,,,,, I know Purslane in every version, BTW I remember my mom calling it "Perperan"" I don't know where it comes from, anyway,, just fresh in my sandwitches or as pickle in salt & vinegar what my mom used to make but not your version. So this will be added to my recipe book too!! I love them because they grow in my garden without any difficulty :-) (y)

Herbs are plants used for flavor enhancement; greens are mainly salad/ sauté ingredients providing the bulk of the nutrition and fiber ;-)

Nice. It's very similar to Indian raita. But we grate the cucumber and chop the greens. Or just use chopped coriander. It's more neater. We top it with chat masala.

fry some bacon and use to cook with your greens add just a little of the fat. its probably not a healthy way to eat it, but you have to try it one time!!!!!

Heghineh Cooking Show Turns out that I have been eating purslane for years but I only knew it by it's spanish name and thought it was watercress. I will definitely try this salad now!

I happen to make purslane salad all the time, it is not necessary to blanch it, but what you should do is just remove the leaves from the twig it and eat it raw and a salad when you add the hot water you destroyed the nutrition.
