Another good one, Colin! There is SO MUCH going on in PrPro, I feel like I'm in Wonderland, running as fast as I can to stay in the same place - but thanks to your explanations, I'm getting it, a piece at a time. You inadvertently solved a problem I had been having, when I drag another clip into the sequence and the audio doesn't come with it. Watching you in this vid solved it for me, so thanks for that, too!

Good job Colin. I have been scouring the internets for over four years, looking for good sources to help me learn PP. You are the best - by far- and the only one with a perfect Truth/BS ratio. I am also impressed that you answer comments. Thank you. Can you point me to a resource, or make a lesson, on grading log footage. I know you have mentioned it before, but I still have questions. Most of the KZfaq experts don't even recognize the difference between an import LUT and a creative LUT. Also, why should I use a LUT rather than grading it manually and saving it as a Lumetri preset, which works very well for me. I mostly use Clog with a C100 mkii and a 5D4. Thanks again, and I hope you are making money!

I have a tutorial on adding LUTs and the difference between a technical and creative LUTs here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/kMx5qbykmrTHc6s.html I don't have any grading tutorials because it's a vast subject and I would not consider myself a professional colorist. There are thousands of "posers" with tutorials that are too specific because grading is based on the specific shot you're using the and context within the story. I have a tutorial on why it's a myth for have a "cinematic look" here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eNOUgqxptNbNj2w.html The Social Network example, to me, shows why it's useless to have a grading tutorial because the opening scene would be considered "wrong" by most standards. Alexis Van Hurkman has several books that tackle this subject very well as he is a professional colorist. vanhurkman.com/ I hope that helps a bit?

Nice. How about a picture frame zoom in? I’m thinking putting a green piece of paper over the frame before I film

I'm unclear of what you want. If you're doing a virtual zoom (scale change) then there are better ways to have something show in the frame. Just do the opposite of what I did, where I zoomed out, just zoom in. Reverse the scale keyframes. If you're talking about a physical camera zoom, then you need to go to After Effects and track the camera in 3D, which is much more complicated.

I wanted a larger than HD size and set the height to 1600 and the width is the same 16 X 9 aspect ration. I actually go over this in the tutorial.

Great tutorial, thanks, I have just applied it! I had an issue though: I have a 3x2 matrix with videos from several video tracks playing simultaneously. When I tried to bring a video in front of other videos, it was still behind other videos, which were higher in the "track hierarchy". Is there a way to change video track priority and bring it to front dynamically? I would like to bring all the videos in front of others one by one.

There is no way to automate the Track position. Sorry. You'd need to do it in After Effects and turn each layer to 3D and use the Z position.
