@@MusehanaH That is not how battlefield nuclear weapons are supposed to be used. They really are intended to wipe out concentrations of troops or open up holes in front lines. The idea is you equip your troops with equipment that will protect them long enough to get through the dangerous parts *after* the device has gone off. Seriously, this has been doctrine in one way or another since the late 1940's.

@macmcleod1188
@macmcleod1188 16 күн бұрын
It took time to realize the Russia was blustering and not likely to use nuclear weapons. And it took even more time to realize that even if they intended to use nuclear weapons, that we could not allow a nation to invade another Nation simply because they had nuclear weapons. That will lead to nuclear proliferation which makes nuclear war more likely. So where we are now is that even if Russia does use nuclear weapons, we're still going to ensure they lose in ukraine to prevent all-out nuclear war in the future. But make no mistake, even if Russia has lost 90% of their nuclear Arsenal due to poor maintenance, they still have enough to destroy human civilization four times over. However Putin and the oligarchs are all living like kings and going nuclear means they would be very likely to die and lose their plush lifestyle.

Not really any weapons used would only need to be airbursts and the residual radiation from those is minimal, Chernobyl was a nuclear reactor leak at ground level with large amounts of radioactive particles at ground level and the explosion blew out parts of the core so totally different to a nuclear bomb, unless the bomb was deliberately targeted that way.

This was persistently predicted in europe and persistently compounded - with the tenacity of a doomed terminally ill european-who is being weakened and displaced by his former european colonies with a different culture and religion-where muslim children are born in europe and european children are not born, and where churches are being closed and mosques are being opened... .
