My kit is on the way. Can't wait to install. Great video
@andrewtsousis31307 ай бұрын
I've had this kit for a while now. It's awesome. I started with the 100 watt amp, (don't buy that, it gets hot quickly even with only a few effects enabled in Simhub). Slip angle gave me a discounted price to upgrade to 300watt amp. My 300 watt amp died about a month after getting it, but slip angle replaced it, they provide great service. It is night and day, especially if you have never had tactile feedback on your rig. I had a single butt kicker, and this system is alot better. Feeling curbs from front to rear on each side is amazing.
@TheCameltotem27 күн бұрын
Can you feel easily what side and front and back? Or does the whole rig shake regardless what tyre you hit on a kerb?
@andrewtsousis313027 күн бұрын
@@TheCameltotem no it isolates each side very well. Assuming you have a profile rig, and the game allows etc. The only issue is the replacement 300watt amp didnt last long either, I ended up going back to a similar 100watt amp I bought off Amazon. It still gets hot though. Slip angle may have sorted out the amp issues by now. If they have I’ll buy another 300 watt amp.

I bought this kit in Maj and I totally agree. The setup is pretty basic, but the settings are pretty annoying would be great if they add some more profiles or more guides how to get the right frequency for each effect.
@Cereal_Killr7 ай бұрын
When doing a setup, I use simhub. Remeber too. Less is more! In pretty much every game I use engine vibration, shift engage and either Road vibration or Road impact. That's it. Using too many at once they transducer just start to non stop vibration cause they're doing too much at once. I only have one under my seat and one on my pedals. I save a profile for each game. 35 percent engine vibrations, 80 for shift and 60-70 for raod vibes. I LOVE IT! Take it slow it's not as confusing as it seems. Also setup custom setup with just front and rear zones. Like I said...the more simple.... the better!

thoughts on how the dampening would be if your right was on casters? Great video as always man; Happy New Year!
@RyKnocks7 ай бұрын
The video is super fair. I think the issue with providing a set of sim hub profiles is everyone is totally different and will want their own frequencies/strengths/effects. It's worth it to just spend some time in sim hub and get it just how you like it. As for transportation of your rig, if you're going to stay with the slip angle system, you might want to build a platform with casters for your rig to sit on. That way you can move it around while getting the benefits of the SA system.

even then I'd say some presets for popular titles could come in handy as baselines for those who want them or those who just wanna set and forget without to much effort. at worst it doesn't take anything away and at best it helps new users figure out what they like or quickly set things up to enjoy a game before making small adjustments as they get used to it.
@christucker95666 ай бұрын
I think the issue is a fair point but lack of decent setups is really rough as someone just getting into this, for example I bought a moza wheelbase and I’ve been nothing but disappointed as I can’t get it to feel anything like how I’d expect a steering wheel to feel.

Thanks for the great video review. But before investing in this shaker system, I need to get a SIM racing rig and better wheel controller - but the cost of the shaker system is very good. Right Now I have just a Thrustmaster TMX wheel controller mounted to a desktop, heavy duty foot pedals, and sit in a normal chair. I do have a VR headset for racing. It works for me. Anyway, Thanks again. take care.

I have this setup on my rig, i only ordered the slip-angle amp 300watt and bst-1 from elswhere, i also got bst-2 under my pedals and seat. Due to extreme shipping cost i did design spring mounts for my rig. theese are alot cheaper and works just as well as the slip-angle sells. I also had com to that conclusion less is more when comming to theese bass shakers. Iam waiting for the simagic haptic rumblers for my throttle and break, they are very strong and also dont go on the same system as the shakers, so hopefully they will be no problem with drowning in the shakers. But setting the rig on springs makes a extreme difference.

The Dayton BST-1's dont come close to the actuall Buttkickers. They dont last as long, Ive had 2 fail. They dont have as wide a frequency range. They also play far fewer effects per transducer before things get muddied. They are also less powerfull than the buttkickers. Just replaced all my BST-1's for buttkickers. 4 buttkickers can reproduce all of the effects which I previously got from 6 of the BST-1's . Ive speng days in Simhub playing with various settings so I can relate to the long setup times. Im now a Simhub expert!

You're going to need all four of those to replace that one buttkicker, too. I've also had two of them fail. The insides rip apart and they start making awful rattling noises inside.

I believe the point of this kit is more about vibration isolation so you can sense which inducer is active more than it is about reducing sound, per se. The "noise reduction" benefit is really about reducing noise across the rig so you can better sense which inducer is providing feedback. It's supposed to be akin to having your wheels in a real car on individual springs and providing individual feedback into the chassis. I can't speak to how well the isolation is as I killed my amp some months ago by using banana plugs on these connectors and letting them touch - don't do that - and I was simply using the LFE built into iracing which does not, as far as I understand, separate channels. But regardless, I will say that using inducers absolutely bring the vehicles alive. The M4 GT3 in iracing went from a complete bore to a harmonious symphony. It's really awesome and I miss it and need to get my amp fixed, and next time start working with SimHub to take advantage of separate channels. Personally, I bought just the springs and mounts because those are the difficult ones to source (really the mounts are the issue). The inducers are Dayton BST-1's and you can use any amp, of course. The price for everything put together is very reasonable, but if you want a different amp, then just get the Dayton's and amp yourself. And yes, being able to move the rig is a problem. I bought retractable caster wheels that require drilling larger holes (with the right bits and drill) so you can threat a bolt through it and into a t-nut. My bit's didn't work so I'm still attempting to get these mounted.

Wenn you're looking for "Federschwingungsdämpfer" on Google, I at least get some results I'd say would do the job. I found stand alone Spring dampers for about 40€ each and sets of four or more springs for 120€ or so. My current favourite would be Systemair FSD4 for 280kg spring set.

This kit costs way too much. I got a similar set up with 4 30w shakers and a 4 channel 200w amp for less than $150. Paid $15 for some industrial equipment vibration isolating feet and basically ended up with the same as this just slightly less powerful. For anyone wondering no one runs these bass shakers on max output anyway so it’s likely that they would never be running higher than 30W.
@benclimo4617 ай бұрын
Know where you got the feet from? I can design mounts pretty easily myself but no idea what strength springs I'd need so the rig won't be bouncing all over the place.
