@@ConsensusX a few weeks ago in a live or portfolio update he said he sold some crypto and isnt getting back into the market until the macro outlook improves. Selling at the bottom makes no sense though.

Haskell is difficult, but the fix there is to use Marlowe which allows you to code in multiple models (such as accounts based) and languages (like python, rust, etc). They're currently building the language library to work with Haskell. Watch Marlowe and Pipelining as those two will put Cardano in its own league in the space

Also the main point is the majority of your code can be done in any language, it's when you go through the blockchain 'checkpoint' you need integration with Haskell. Cardano is designed around the concept of 'off chain computing'

@@danielstokes8636 yes, macron's definitely of libertarianism maybe. in truth, i always thought of dubai as the place you go when you capitulate on making the world better and just resign to money leading the world until your death.

As a Brit, I have worked in Bahrain since 2002. Great place and we brought up both of our boys here. Very safe, very friendly and tax free. After previous political turmoil in the region, it now feels like a safe haven compared to Europe.

Dubai is not just avoid tax , is hot ,friendly, respectful, have events every days , loads to do and have fun , is safe and 24/ 7 city live , restaurants and shops open day and night . If you crypto living that is the right place to have peace .

I turned all of my bitcoin to ADA last bear market. It's at least as safe but usable. You can stake on an self hosted full node (Daedalus) and secure it with a hardware wallet and be liquid all the time. Which crypto comes close to that while having a big community with lots of independent pools? Soon you will be able to swap your ADA to a native (not censorable) stable coin on a DEX.

charles is a con man!! good things take time he keeps saying... i tried to use the ADA wallet for staking.. and let me tell you .. its not user friendly at all.. they had so much time to make it easy to use!! they failed!!

Could you please a movie about moving to Dubai? Like visas when starting a business in the country, how to start a business in Dubai, requirements etc.. I have lived there for more than a year earlier. But back then I worked for another company, so would be nice to know about starting a business there. (tno taxes are definitely a biiig plus)

Im surprised the crypto industry has congregated to a country that doles out the death penalty if you're gay or face 80 lashes if you kiss in public. There are horror stories of passports being confiscated to keep you from leaving and you're not really open to criticize politics. Not to mention a woman needs permission from her husband or father to travel :/ Of all the places in the world the crypto industry would congregate to it really surprises me that it would be the UAE. There must be something I'm missing or some kind of misconceptions I have either about the people who make up the industry (or) the country itself.

A nation state built on modern slavery, indentured, servitude and human trafficking of migrants. How do you reconcile living in a country who’s posterity is predicated on the exploitation of the underserved? Do migrants and the minority class have any representation in Dubai?

@@dr.gatoquimico no income tax in UAE. They do have VAT though, around 5% with plans of increasing to 15% if i remeber correctly(i could be wrong). If you are a US citizen youll need to report that to your local bank there. Uncle sam wants his cut

There is always a difference with the kind of place where a big percentage of the population choose to live there, rather than being there by default. I've been to a few places like that, where everyone is from somewhere else, and there by choice. Makes for a great atmosphere, and some great people.

I hope you can tell more about your life in Dubai because I also intend to move there one day but the thing is that almost all my current wealth is in USDT and I don't know if I can access it there freely using it as a means of payment and making transactions. That would actually be cool if so.
