It is noticeably slower than Firestick max and Apple TV especially with other apps like Freevee. I will probably return it and wait for the next version. Crazy how it always opens live tv (spectrum) in a small tile. Spectrum got shafted.

Why you using blue strip to hide “nothing” ? Not following your train of though on here, also who you gonna make a video from Xfinity Q&A form. We want info that’s not on the site

There's one thing I'm really disappointed about the Xumo box with Spectrum. I have a high-end surround sound system in my living room where the Xumo box is located. If I use the Specrtum App in Xumo, there is no center channel. Not on any of the channels or on-demand movies. I tried all the settings & even called Spectrum support, but they just apologized. Spectrum advertises the Xumo box as the next generation of streaming experience. Their old cable box had Dolby Digital Surround but the new Xumo box only has Stereo. The other apps on the box like Netflix or Hulu DOES have surround with center channel, but NOT if I'm watching any channels in the Spectrum app.

Very upsetting, same here. No 5.1 on live TV. Wondering if downloading the latest version would have it? Going to try it...

FYI, zumo does have doby digital. It's the spectrum app. That only has stereo...

what Univeral remotes work with the Spectrum Xumo stream box?

Haven’t found one that works yet. I suspect it’s a non-infrared remote requiring Bluetooth based on trying and failing with two different universal remotes: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/puChZsmg19PZZIU.html

@williamharper3926 I was wrong about my prior answer, and found a way to add your own universal remote control. Here is the video on how to do it: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mMypic2Asp-4eoE.html Any learnable IR remote can be taught to learn the Spectrum Xumo Remote commands if you follow the steps in the video.
