Man, you have just solved days of woes for me!! I set mine up, ignition off and all is working. Ignition on, and no climate or stock options would work. The f*&%*g radio was off!!! I've literally been tearing my hair out over this, and one button, BOSH! Result. Thank you!!!

Thank you for putting this together. I have the same unit, but having issues with connecting the headrest display. I connect the AV cables from the headrest to Video Output 1 & 2 accordingly, but there is nothing displayed on the headrest screens. To rule out any issues with the screens, I connected them with the external DVD plyaer, and they are all working fine. Is there any special settings I should enable?

Hi there. I installed one of these head units in my 2008 non navigation jaguar xjl. I noticed that the air conditioning fan speeds 1 through 7 on the head unit does not change the physical fan speed of the car’s ac even though I am able to change the speeds on the head unit. I replaced the factory radio which is a non navigation unit and I was able to manipulate the car’s ac fan speeds, proving that my ac is functional. Question. Is there a setting on the Tesla style head unit I could access to have the ac functions effective?

Great vid! I have a question and you seem pretty knowledgeable on these head units so maybe you can help. Whenever I turn music on (Apple CarPlay, radio, Bluetooth) I hear a faint static in the background. The static doesn’t go up when you turn the volume up so if you roll your music volume up enough it sort of drowns out the static but nonetheless it’s there and it’s super annoying. I’ve tried adjusting the equalizer and nothing yet, you think you can help?

I keep getting an error message when I click on the apps button which won't allow me to use any app??? Also, my backup cam doesn't show unless I pull the shifter down quickly for reverse. I bought a vehicle with the radio already installed. I have 3 main issues if you can help. Main issue - 1.) when using blinker it plays sound out my speakers super loud. How do I disable? 2.) Engine noise is super bad ( should I cut the ground and put a batter ground? 3.) I think I have to verify my speaker connections but left right front and rear all not playing

I had a technician install a Tesla touch screen on my Ford Explorer 2017. Everything works fine, but the "door ajar indicator" displays even when I shut all the doors. I looked at a KZfaq video and the Xinbasi protocol was selected for Ford Explorer. I tried Explorer HI then selected Xinbasi but it does not have a drop-down menu, which includes S1 Auto, S2 Auto, S3 Auto, S3 4.3 Auto. Selecting the Xinbasi resolved the door ajar warning light but messed up with the air conditioning. It was no longer operating. And the protocols are too many to try one by one. So, I'd be grateful if you could tell me which type and protocol is the functional one for my Ford Explorer 2017. Here are more details on my vehicle. Trim Level: XLT Engine Size: V6, 3.5 It originally came with a small radio screen or infotainment screen. Thanks for such an amazing informative video but the only issue with my device is that whenever i press the rear glass defrost it doesn’t show anything and also supposedly every Q50 comes standard with heated side mirrors and supposedly when you press the rear defrost button it should turn on but in my device when i press the button it doesn’t show that the button is pressed, what can i do man?

HI so i have a 2013 ford explorer with tesla style screen , android 4.4.4 version, i had it for 5 years but last week i lost audio. Checking my sistem the radio app got stuck on the first stock station 87.5 fm it does not want to move from that station, every other app works waze, youtube , play video but no sound , the only sound you get is the beep when you touch the screen , I tried changing radio zone ( asia, america europe) to see if it changes the presetting station and it does but you can not move from the first radio station it look like its stuck on the first radio station CAN YOU HELP

Does this radio come with an audio output of some sort? Either rca or something? Would be awesome to have an easy way to bypass the factory amp by picking up the signal leaving the radio like a normal aftermarket unit instead of tapping into the factory harness.

AC won't turn off and the bottom of the screen clicks the top and the top clicks the bottom bottoms. Scrolling on the left side moved the right side and scrolling on the right moves the left.

If I understand you correctly, if some OEM Options are not avaible (I have an Q50S Hybrid and dont know if all options are implemented in the phoenix screen) I just click on a button and have the complete stock options and can control everything from there?!

I recently installed the Tesla screen on my 17 Q60 RS and after 2 weeks the screen just became unresponsive, volume and the buttons work for audio on the steering wheel but the actual Tesla touchscreen is unresponsive yet the camera work and screen changes when using buttons. Any idea ?
