I primarily print with carbon fiber, fiberglass, and kevlar infused filaments. Every single type of filament, i literally own them all in carbon fiber or GF, lol. The most filaments i use are PA12-CF, PA612-cf, and PA6-cf... and i have a trick that i use to stop any warping at all. This might sound extreme, but i do this every time i print with PA, and i have never had a print warp on me or have any issues at all. Make sure all fans are off and set bed temp at 95°c for the 1st few layers to get a good adhesion to the bed. Then, drop the temp all the way down to 35°c for the rest of the print. Now, this obviously won't work with a printer without an enclosure. Also, i specifically use the elmers magic dissappearing purple glue stick for ALL of my PA prints. That's it! Trust me, you can thank me later for anyone having warping issues. Hope this helps someone out. I literally use my printers for my business and primarily print a TON of engineering parts that get heavy and hard AF use. I've been doing this since i started printing with PA, and i have never had a print fail on me. Have a good one

Wow that is awesome! I'll give that method a try. Never thought about doing it that way. Thanks!

just a friendly FYI as well, alot of the things that you had an issue with in your evaluation of the Qidi Q1 pro... most are easily accessible or or have an "option button" on Qidi slicer for said issue. I know you are used to your K1, but as a person that has 6 qidi printers... I found that by grial and error. I thought my issues were caused by Qidi slicer, but when I switched to Orca, I had a ton of very small issues that annoyed me to no end. Also, the layer line quality with orca slicer was exactly as how you prescribed as to the sloppy layer line quality that just popped up outta no where. So I switched back to Qidi slicer and found my print results were instantly much better. The slicers might seem like a pain in the ass to K1 users, but Qidi tunes and perfects their slicers around each and every printer they make. So the Qidi slicer is much more dialed in already for each of their printers. If you are having any issues with something, just comment me back and I'll be glad to help you out brother. Have a good one bro

I just got mine today and they have addressed the start up menu AND the build plate centering. There are now corner stops for the plate. The filament inlet has been moved to the side from the back too!

Ohh that's nice to hear, wish mine would have come with it. It was hard to position the build plate once taken off.

@@Scratch3DPrinting I never got prompted for bed leveling during first setup either. I love how they listened to the reviewers and took quick action. This is a solid printer and has taken the place of my K1 as my daily driver.

About your clogging issue- I wonder if when you use it just one time, do you shut down the printer right after the print is done? If so, what could be happening is you are turning off the heat sink fan, allowing the heat from the nozzle to travel up the throat tube, melting the filament up there, causing a clog. The proper procedure if you want to shut down a printer after a a single print is let the nozzle cool with the heat sink fan on and turn it off only after the thermistor turns off the heat sink fan.

I usually don't shut down right it's done printing. Sometimes I do, but it doesn't clog. Sometimes, I let it cool down and then shut it off and still clog. But I'll try letting it cool down more and then shut the printer off and see what happened. Thanks.

Yeah I've had this printer for almost a month now and I haven't had one clog and I've done both types of filament changes manual and automatic numerous times,

QIDI under extrusion is the same problem as all the modern ones that have the filament tube tied to the horizontal drag chain. That sharp turn right above the extruder causes filament issues especially with small area movements. Unclip the tube from the drag chain completely. You can remove the tube retaining clip from the top of the extruder if you like. You can also make the tube a little longer and use a PTFE tube with a larger inner diameter like a standard pneumatic grade 4mmOD 2mmID Teflon tube. You might have to add a top riser for the tube to keep it enclosed for high temperature printing. All the older QIDI had a nice raised dome top and no sharp turns in the tube. The new flat top drag chain trend is hurting the print performance on all of these style!

Ahh, that's good to know. But the q1 pro does not have a clip, it's those new push only locks. But still it's only the top part, even if other parts have small area it extruder fine. I'll try that.

Don‘t know if you solved your glogging issue with your Q1 Pro, but if not, maybe it‘s worth to have a look at the spring tension of the filament gear. I had the same problem, which was driving me crazy, because sometimes it seems like I was printing straight to the waste box. This stopped right after I‘ve placed a piece of cable tie between the spring and the extruder wall to put a little bit more tension to the spring. I also realized, that when I turn the arm with the filament gear back in place I must not push it all the way down to the wall of the extruder, because then it‘s a bit deplaced from the filament line and the gear does not really run free. After I did this, my problems where solved and my prints where just fine without any problems, but I have to say, that I only used PLA, PLA+ and PETG filament so far. Maybe for softer materials the spring tension now is to high, but I‘ll find out. I‘ve found the cable tie trick in this german youtube video (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i9topLGWmKjSlJ8.htmlsi=HpGO21750HNyauwy) at round about minute 17. Hope that helps, as it did for me.

Nice. Can you compare 1 to 1 the k1 Max with this machine practical prints and “advanced “ material ? I want to see how beneficial is the active heated chamber.
@Scratch3DPrinting
@Scratch3DPrinting 2 ай бұрын
The active heated chamber is great! pp is a really hard filament to print and it can print it with nice quality. Printing with asa and no warp at all, it was the reason I got it in the first place.

What about installing the full current version of Klipper and Klipper screen firmware, i would really appreciate watching that video, as that is the first modification i want to do then longer bowden tube, top cover riser, carbon pellet box, bed rails, heater cover, insulation and insulation mounts to mount the printer on a sliding shelf in a cabinet in my bus

Isn't the q1 pro already running klipper? I guess the screen ui could be changed but I haven't found any online yet.

@Scratch3DPrinting it's a 2 year old version and not the full version, may fix a lot of your problems. Like I said, it's going to be the first thing I do , when I can get my Qidi Tech Q1 pro 3d printer.

After a print let the machine cool to ambient temperature before shutting it off and when you're doing filament changes use the manual mode to prevent clogging until you get more familiar with how this machine works with filming changes, cause I've had this printer for almost a month multiple filament changes multiple prints I even have it hooked up to a smart plug and 0 clogs.......
@Scratch3DPrinting

I think your top tip problem is really simple: You're trying to print above the effective build envelope. It is SUPPOSED to be 245mm, how tall is that part?
@Scratch3DPrinting
@Scratch3DPrinting 2 ай бұрын
No the part is not 245mm, it's around 230mm.

@@Scratch3DPrinting hmm... well, it's not unheard of for companies to fudge specifications for marketing. One way to find out if either that's what's happening or simply that YOUR printer can't actually print effectively that high is to print something like an Eiffel Tower or whatever else tickles your fancy and comes in over 230mm. Will it fuzz out or print accurately? Only the Shadow knows. I have my brand new Q1 Pro sitting on the floor in its box about 6 feet from me, waiting to pop out like a jack-in-the-box and start printing. IF I ever have cause to print anything that tall, I'll try to remember to let you know if I encountered any challenges. I will be watching your clog clearing video soon.
