In this week's #Qigong practice we will focus on Earth energy and its relationship to the spleen/stomach organs.
The stomach extracts all the nutrients from the food and drink we consume. Both organs are vital parts of our digestive system. The practice of qigong can help improve the function of your digestive system.
Just by simply performing deep abdominal breathing, the movements of the abdomen help to massage the digestive organs and bring more oxygenated blood and energy to them.
When you add gentle Qigong movements, you start to improve your circulation, including blood and lymphatic fluids throughout the body.
Everyone could benefit from this practice. I hope that you enjoy the session.

You don’t know how grateful I am to have found a person of color doing qi gong. Not that it matters, but as a black man its good to see. it’s rare to see melanated teachers on KZfaq, thanks for this!

@@mauritiusdunfagel9473 If you read it again, i did say “not that it matters”. I was happy to see someone like me doing Qi Gong on KZfaq because it’s rare. That should be enough of a reason. If it doesn’t apply, let it fly

@@mauritiusdunfagel9473 the comment that you responded to clearly disturbed you. And honestly I find yours unsettling as well. While it is true that people are people and we all share the same physiology, saying that race or representation are irrelevant doesn’t acknowledge the implicit bias that still goes on and the systemic laws and policies that have made life harder for African Americans and other people of color to feel like they’re able to fully survive and thrive. To say ‘why does color matter?’ is to dismiss, ignore and make invisible the pain and suffering of people of color.
