Circle Jumping is a nifty technique to build up speed over a short distance. This can be useful to start an actual strafe-jumping run or cross gaps that don't allow building up momentum. It's a fairly tricky technique to get, but once you get the hang of it it becomes easy to do, so don't get desperate!
