Each month The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation hosts a Meet the Scientist Webinar featuring a researcher discussing the latest findings related to mental illness. In March, 2018, the Foundation featured Dr. Sarah Kathryn Fineberg of Yale University.
Description: People with Borderline Personality Disorder experience significant struggles in their relationships, and this can impact interactions in their personal and work lives. This webinar will provide an update on studies of social interaction where Dr. Fineberg will discuss methods for collecting data and handling this information as well as the applications to help improve the lives of those with BPD.

This was an absolutely fascinating presentation. As someone with BPD, it really helped me understand myself better, and I enjoyed it very much. Thank you so much for producing this research!

There is an an enormous amount of information about BPD but I have yet to see videos on the best therapeutic treatments that work better than cognitive therapy. I can’t help but think that unresolved trauma is what fuels BPD oppose to it being genetic.

But if you have BPD but you do have a network of friends and it isn't all about you? What if you, the BPD helps those friends out when they need it??? I mean it isn't all about my family member who has BPD. He isn't like that!!! But he is low on the spectrum and he has always been a caring, giving person.

Thank you for a great presentation - and for the important work that you're doing. Eager to follow you and learn more about treating with ketamine. Good luck with the research!

Did you just take an oral dose, or an actual IV session from a Ketamine Clinic/Doctor? Taking an oral or nasal dose on your own is not at all a good test to see if proper IV Ketamine Therapy will work for you. Not safe either.

The use of the term 'alter' in this particular video is confusing. In people with dissasociative identity disorder the term 'alter' us used to describe personality changes or facets those people go through or assign to help them perform different tasks or deal with extreme trauma happening during interactions they have with other people. It is NOT to be used to describe people in the life of a BPD or anyone else. Very confusing.

This research would be SO much better if you ditch the animal studies. I do not agree with anomal research at all. It's so cruel and so irrelevant to humans.
