Quartz Install, Painting Our Cabinet Fronts, IKEA Countertop Cabinet Hack | Kitchen Reno Pt. 8

Жыл бұрынThis is the 8th video in our kitchen renovation series and we're ready for our quartz countertop and backsplash installation. With our countertops installed, it is time to hack our IKEA countertop cabinets! We'll be using open bottom countertop cabinets at our new pantry and sharing the process of how we achieved this! We'll also be spraying our unfinished custom cabinet fronts from Semihandmade, using our Graco Magnum X5 paint sprayer.

We're planning our kitchen reno this summer and planning on doing a countertop appliance garage. Can you give any more details on how you attached the support along the bottom of the back of the cabinet? Your videos have been so helpful!

We are in the middle of our ikea kitchen renovation project/ diy semi handmade shakers. You definitely gave me the motivation to know that we can do this together lol. How did the guy install your small shelf above your stove? Did they place it in the drywall? I’m so curious. Anyway fabulous before and after for sure! Thank you for sharing all the videos definitely helping

Yesss you can do it! For the stone shelf, yep exactly. Our fabricator cut out the drywall and pushed it into the wall to help support it. It is solid! One of my favorite little parts of the kitchen

We used satin, perfect amount of sheen in our opinion! And the cabinet color is Benjamin Moore classic gray

This might be a dumb question, but how does it work with the IKEA cabinet bases being a set color, but painting the fronts a different color? I feel like it would look strange having different colors on different parts of the cabinet. I just started looking into IKEA kitchens so I don’t know much about how it all works. Thanks!

with IKEA’s system, you end up covering the boxes with the fronts and side cover panels, so it does not matter at all what color you paint the cabinets!

This is difiniti quartz Olimpico evoke plus, we got it from terrazzo and marble supply

Your art will be drenched in oil. Pinterest is such a hazard sometimes, its aesthetically great but functionally not always true.

We’ve had art on our shelf, cook on the stove daily, and it’s not drenched in oil lol
