I feel like it’s literally impossible not to fall in love with Freddie especially when you watch him live he just has so much charisma and energy! Such a legend!!

Freddie wrote this (gospel feel) song as a tribute to Aretha Franklin..he had hoped she would sing it one day🤩

I watched this the first time you played it and enjoyed it again. You seemed to get a new appreciation for Queen as a live band that you did not previously have. You had to admit that on stage, tunes you thought were not cool, were actually fire on stage. I bet there were many in that audience who had felt the same way.

No one but the band. Pure talent. All of them. Roger the drummer sang the falsetto back up. The whole band sang parts of back up. Freddie had a range like no other human. Scientists have actually studied his five octave range. This is 1981 so no auto tune or back up choirs. Just genius. Miss you Freddie. RIP

This was Freddie"s favourite song, but he HATED doing it live,a challenge even for him.Lots of key changes,a truly fantastic piece of singing...power emotion and control.A one off.

Great times..I saw them in London in 1972 with 50 other people. You just knew you were watching something special.Brian in particular. Freddie hadn't found his voice so much but he was prancing about even then.

I was 17 when I saw them in 1978 and it was one of the most memorable experiences in my life. Remember how the crowd stomped and clapped to _We Will Rock You_ long before the concert even began? The entire stadium shook for over 30 minutes waiting for Queen to take the stage. Amazing!

They all sing great. Brian on electric guitar and Roger (high pitched) on drums. John didn’t seem to sing much, but…they did all their own choruses.

This was 1981 and Live Aid was 1985. Rogervon drums has amazing vocals in a typically high range and Roger May medium range. John Deacon rarely sings. Loved your reaction and observations! You're brilliant...smile.

Rory- you hear it don’t you? The genius- your reactions- on your face- the best! Brian May is now and has been for years an astrophysicist PHD. All the band were highly educated- but all self made-and yes- Freddie never fakes a performance- the sweat- sometimes in the live concerts you can see the steam rising from his body. Hard work.

YES as time goes by past 1985/1986 you will see Freddie vanish away as the AIDS starts to ravishly take over his body. The last video he did was "THESE ARE THE TIMES OF OUR LIVES" His vocals are completely stripped. His voice is thinned out. But like the Performer he is he insisted on working till the end. HE'S A LEGEND that will live on forever through his music. RIP Freddie 11/24/1991

incase you want to hear Brian, & Roger sing lead on a few songs. Here is a short list. For Brian, react / listen to the studio versions of 39, Good Company, & Sleeping on the Sidewalk. For Roger, Checkout / react to, studio versions of Tenement Funster, Drowse, & I'm In Love With My Car.

Roger has. released a new album where he sings and plays all the instruments - called 'Outsider' and Brian has rereleased 2 albums " Back to the Light' and 'Another World' - with new tracks as well. They have had their own bands.

It's the other way round - Superman is wearing a Freddie Mercury - - what ever it is called - I am danish - ?? As you can see - I really like your reactions-. no choir - no autotune - no clicks- they are tight and just on point. Roger on drums is the high voice - falsetto - " if I go higher only the dogs can hear me" - Brian has a more mellow kind of voice - it blended perfectly together . On the studio versions they multilayered - overdubbed - In the start of Bohemian Rhapsody Freddie was the only one singing the first part - - - . In the third part Roger and Brian joined in.This was 1981 - Live Aid was 1985. If you want to hear Brians voice you can find 'too much love will kill you' - there is a version with Freddie - but Brian wrote it and it is very personal to him. In the sad end you can also find 'No one but you (Only the good die young) - with the 3 remaining members of the band - about Freddie. The last performance with John. Freddie died in 1991 - November -.

He was allways little ironic about the explisness of the band. This was the time with groups like genesis zappa abba deep purle pink floyd, bowie..dont want to offend it was many. I lived and was young in that era..my son and douther are having same but as it is now with a fatherly poke/stick..they are doing well. They give me so mutch of modern musik that they understand is quality. as zappa said...music is the best!!
