The guitar tone in keep your eyes peeled is ludicrously heavy, I love it. No other band could make a dark song work like this.

I was there, it was in the parisian studios in saint denis. There were more than these 4 songs, at least 8, and from the past albums (little sister, go with the flow). it's regrettable that the whole show is not available on youtube. BTW Josh Homme shared the bottle of wine with the audience between two songs :')

Apart from Incubus. These guys have the throne. Rocks best band as of date. Full of emotion, class and artistic flare/beauty. Can't say enough about these talented men. Hope to hear more great tunes in the future, hope to see you in concert too.

.....and he's not focused on great solos.and for me i really dont give a rat's ass about solo's and if someone plays the pentatonic scale with eyes closed or whatever making coffee,thats why I love Nirvana which Kurt really wasnt a great guitar player at all and dont mention about his solos but he was a fucking genius who inspired a whole generation through simplistic ways of playing the guitar and true and honest lyrics..For me this are the meanings that that i'm trying to find in music

:( when i heard the tease material from their web site i wass really excited... but now im not really into it... i like five songs from the album but i think is weak in general... dont get me wrong im a huge fan from QOTSA but this is my least favorit album :(

yeah well to be honest i really hate progressive music and although dudes that play these kind of stuff might be great guitar players technically without mistakes, ''great'' performance,fast boomba doomba solos etc for my personal taste they really lack on emotions and its like their acting/posing and braging of their great technique, and their performance seems to me you know totally robotic...on the other hand homme tries to express different things in his music

If ones ability to play solo's mattered even a fraction as much as the talent it takes to construct a good song, then people like Malmstein and Satriani would be the biggest musicians in the world. But they arent, because they cant make a catchy song to save their lives. The music you are citing, has literally no depth, nothing unique, and its garbage.
