Every song has relevance to the madness we’re living under today: I remember now I remember how it started I can't remember yesterday I just remember doing what they told me I used to trust the media To tell me the truth, tell us the truth But now I've seen the payoffs Everywhere I look Who do you trust when everyone's a crook? It just takes a minute And you'll feel no pain Gotta make something of your life boy Give me one more vein The system we learn says we're equal under law But the streets are reality, the weak and poor will fall Let's tip the power balance and tear down their crown Educate the masses, We'll burn the White House down Fighting fire with empty words While the banks get fat And the poor stay poor And the rich get rich And the cops get paid To look away As the one percent rules America Spreading the disease Everybody needs But no one wants to see The way society Keeps spreading the disease And I stood proud My mission changed the world The underground will rise and Save this world we'll all stand proud No time to rest yet We've got to stop his game Before madness has the final laugh Too much bloodshed We're being used and fed Like rats in experiments No final outcome here Only pain and fear Don't ever trust Don't ever trust the needle, it lies Even in death You still look sad Don't leave me Don't leave me...here Can't look back, it's just a waste of time Can't erase this hate from my eyes I awoke on impact Under surveillance from the camera eye…Searching high and low There's no sleep today, I can't pretend When all my dreams are crimes I can't stand facing them How many times must I live this tragedy How many more lies will they tell me All I want is the same as everyone Why am I here, and for how long

A friend of mine and I bought this cassette on a whim because I had read a good review about it. We put it in the tape deck for the ride home. We didn’t say a word to each other the entire trip. When we got home we just looked at each other’s shocked face and knew we found something special. I’m pretty sure that was 1988-89. Thirty-five years later and it still reminds me of that trip every time I hear it.

We were a small rock band in communist Romania, in the mid 80's all high school students rocking all nights in our home town, with a lot of friends. When I first listened this album I was mesmerized, stunned. All my rock band fellows were also sharing my feelings. Queensryche quickly became our numero uno band. and we still consider it the best heavy metal band ever to this date. And Empire and Operation Mindcrime the best albums ever. And we were into iron Maiden, Dio, EVH, etc. I still play QR in my 500whp car's stereo every day, my wife likes it too. Queensryche is best music I've ever heard all my life, and still is. Chirs Degarmo and Geoff Tate - what a duo! Degarmo just made 60years. I am 53. God bless him!

Mindcrime was a brilliant, provocative, and rather complex concept album which still holds epic status that popular radio stations never played. All of the members of Queensryche were running strong on all 12 cylinders getting along and gushing out such a difficult live show with sheer gut wrenching force and finesse. That live set a marked impression on everyone with a ticket to such a live masterpiece.

Their opus...the production is exquisite. Love the thumping, heavy bass, the scythe-like guitars and the bombastic drums. Vocals are the icing on the cake. Waaaay ahead of its time.

Saw them in Vegas back in the day 1992ish. A little band called Soundgarden opened for them... What!?!?! Geoff warmed up with a basketball shot on stage. I have loved this album since it's release. Someone posted that it never gets old. Totally agree.

I love queensryche. Was 16 in early 1980. I also watched M-TV go on the air! Me and a large group of friends all went to a friends house that had cable. We all ditched school for that day. There was I think about 12 to 15 of us. Give or take a few. lol I sure miss those days! Good ephing times indeed. Glad I was there! ❤

This is my fav Queensryche album. It blew me away when I went to their concert. They opened with this album. I had never heard it before, and with the video up on the screen, I thought that they were really calling for a revolution right then. It scared me until I realized that it was a rock opera. Such a masterpiece!
