Ok, we need to talk. When I was growing up, people like me couldn't get married. Gay actors and actresses were fired from television if they came out. Especially if they were involved with children's media. I'm 35 years old. I'm going to keep my comment respectful, and I expect the same from you. I've seen real discrimination. And before my time, it was even worse. Today, people will lose their jobs and livelihood if someone accuses them of homophobia, even if there's no proof. Homosexuality exists all over the animal kingdom. It's nothing special, it's quite normal. Transgenderism is different. I know many people who actually are trans. But there are so many people who are faking it for attention. Trying it on like a fashion statement. And that's bad. It's bad because being trans means that you are so miserable, in your own skin, that it becomes debilitating. Transitioning is not only expensive, it's permanent. I know people who regret transitioning. It didn't solve their underlying problem. But there are terrible people, who fake it because it's fashionable right now. It is easy to tell the difference between someone who is legitimately trans, and someone who isn't. If a person uses words like "binary/non binary" or they claim that gender is a social construct. If this person gets hostile with others over pronoun use, or they say that things like cat or fairy are genders, they're not trans. It is because of these obnoxious behaviors that real trans people are suffering unnecessarily. The rest of society sees these behaviors and assumes that this is what trans people are. Because real trans people are already dealing with their own personal crisis, they aren't being loud and demanding attention from the public. Acting obnoxious and making false claims of discrimination hurts those of us who are just trying to make a living. I was there when Nickelodeon fired Rosie O'Donnell for being gay. I was there when Ellen's sitcom was canceled. I was there when gays were fighting for our right to get married. It's unacceptable when people play the victim, in a society that no longer discriminates. And looking at legitimate statistics and data will tell you that. But many people refuse to acknowledge the facts if it hurts their agenda. Or their feelings. Why do so many ppl, of your generation love to be weak? Faking mental disorders and gluten allergies? If anyone has become upset with you, it's not because of your sexuality. It's because of your attitude, your actions, and the things you say. I refuse to celebrate pride month because absolutely no one should have an entire month dedicated to their attributes. We need to celebrate how we are the same, NOT our differences. How much rainbow colored merchandise did you buy in June? Where are these corporations, the rest of the year? They're capitalizing on people's emotions. What you're promoting is not only inaccurate information, it's harmful. If you've read this far, first of all, thank you. Secondly, how are you going to respond? If you delete this comment, it shows that you'd rather dismiss one of your own, than to respond to criticism. That's bad.
