From what I see, 5mins of struggling and barerly 50ml of water. 600ml per hour. That won't even cover half of what the operator has to sweat out of the body :D Thanks for the test!

I was thinking that u could add a air pump to it to hold the 50psi and connect it to power for a continuing flow😎

Even solar could make it 100 self sustainable I'm planning on buying 1 and if my idea works I would rins and repeat it for more water production

Just placed an order for one of these as I'd rather have something over nothing in an emergency. Would be easy to connect a small motor and wheel to this pump as like what you'd see in an oil field. Powered from a battery and solar/wind, you'd have continuous pumping without the manual effort. That is my plan.....

Have you been able to do that? And if so please make a video showing us how you did it

Never received it after placing my order. Reached out to the company and I guess they're shipping one to me from China according to the tracking number. If you placed an order, have you received it yet?@@TobiasTheWolf

Definitely needs some kind of motor, given the volume of water produced by hand pumping, is a complete joke.

@@__WJK__ I finally got one in the mail earlier this year, but I still haven't unboxed it to check it out.

So I got one for my Alberg 30 sailboat as I can’t pay 5 grand for a water maker. I have a fresh water tank and carry Jerry cans and I’ve never ran out of water but I like knowing I at least have something in case I need it somehow

It looks like you would end up more dehydrated as the sweat per hour outweighs what it produces.

They promise up to 4 liters per hour.

@GTI8855 1 hour pumping - I would sweat > 4l and think of the calories ... :-)

Yeah, that can't be a viable survival option. What about the old school units like the Pur Survivor etc?

The company should have designed it with dual foot pedal levers, because hand pumping that lever is a joke.

I counted over 100 pumps for about 1 ounce!

Is there nobody out there who can comment / explain the ridiculous small output after 5 min? This was far off the specified 2-4 l / h !

Maybe they just suck

Yeah, catching rain water or condensation and running it through a standard household filter would be far more advantageous. I'm looking at adding a 12v air conditioner to my boat which should produce ample condensate in warm climate provided I can sufficiently power it. As far as colder climates I'm not sure. 😒

Absolutelly not practical using manula pump. Needs a electric pump which makes it not portable. But good for backup water system for a boat....nice idea though!

If the grid goes down, almost nothing electric will work. The idea behind this tool is that manually pumping will never need electricity.

can always have a solar battery pack ready...electric pump will work no problem.

True, trust me you I have plenty of them. but if a solar flare or emp happens, than that would be fried too. The old way will never go out of style. Manual pump all the way@@2375denim
