the basic teaching is this: there is a normative way of living in the faith - this normative way means believing (protestants can attest to this) as well as trusting in and abiding in the will of the Father (this is the purpose of the institution of the Church). The Church instructs us, worships perfectly (through the Liturgy), and strengthens us since it has been guided by the Holy Spirit in all its teachings. Catholic doctrine teaches this - that there is NO SALVATION OUTSIDE THE CHURCH - and that is because it is taught the Church IS THE BODY OF CHRIST therefore, when Christ says John 17:20-21 - 20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. the only way to truly be one in Christ and one in the Father is to be gathered as one in the body of Christ, which is the Church Protestants don't have a theological or world view like this, they are able to believe, and even do good for the Glory of God, but remember even a soul damned to Hell due to righteous punishment still demonstrates the Glory of God, for He is Right and Just Being IN THE CHURCH and abiding by its precepts is just as significant as claiming to believe in Christ and to bear fruit in His Name.

Sufficiency is key! As a relatively new believer searching for the Truth, I am overwhelmed and disappointed in trying to find my Church. The simple fact there are what 4500 different Protestant Churches all claiming to be "right," what message does that send to new believers? Unfortunately, Churches become self-preserving in nature and live by carving out their own niche not by exalting the "right" of their teachings but by denigrating the "right" of the next. Another unfortunate Truth is that ministries are economic realities. In order to survive, they have become willing to bend their beliefs to fit the material world in an attempt to bring in more people and their money. The Catholic Church has probably been the most true to their history and as a result, they are losing members quite readily. The Pope has recognized this and has stated that we will be smaller, but we will be stronger by holding true to our beliefs. It is a tough issue for sure. I can only pray that one day we all come together under God's name and one unified Church.

Is the reformed church which teaches good solid doctrine also to blame for not addressing the culture or being involved with it, but isolating ourselves and focusing on pietism, me n Jesus, me n my church but very little interaction with the world. We must point the finger at ourselves and not others who have not the light we reformed have. Are we the Làodicean church rich n increased with goods but poor, blind n naked, thus God's judgment on us, as we are intellectually strong but weak or non-existent in our witness to the lost, we r called to go n make disciples of all nations, speaking n protesting n fighting the murder of 60 million unborn and their innocent blood has caused the defilemt of our land leading to all kinds of perversions. We must wake up n fight for truth and address the evils consuming us lest the Lord send us into exile thru more judgment.

More and more I listen to protestant pastors, etc., talk about wide-spread apostasy among protestant churches, to use that phrase; maybe after being around for less than 500 years, the protestant reformers need to reform themselves and lay-off of using the Catholic church as a convenient punching bag.

Peter talked about Paul’s description of Jesus’s soon return to Judge apostate Israel and destroy the temple and city that had become an abomination unto God. He spoke of those things in all his letters and many people did distort and continue to distort them. Jesus Prophesied that destruction in the Olivet discourse and told the Apostles and all who would listen to them as they spread the message that Judgement was coming within that generation, and that their redemption and vindication against all Mosaic Covenant Apostate Israel would be complete. They were the people who Truly persecuted the new covenant believers yet they did not war according to the flesh and waited with hope that their claim to the Father through Jesus and not Moses would be validated by the Temples destruction and the Old Covenant being put to death and all things being resurrected into Life by the New Covenant.

39:26 Honestly this is bad exegesis, it blatantly reads modern usages of descendant words into the text while ignoring the conceptions people at the time had about the topic of different groups of people. "Ethnos" had a variety of meanings relating to different groups. It could be a family, a tribe, a whole people, a social/economic class, or even a herd/group of animals (obviously here it refers to people but I'm showing the range of application). Taking this into Acts 17:26, we get "...He made from one man every [ethnos: group of people] of mankind to live on all the face of the earth,..." Notice that whatever sense you take "ethnos" to mean, the verse says the same thing: every group of people was made by God from one man. Whether those groups are (in the modern sense of these words) families, clans, tribes, ethnic groups, nations, races, or anything else does not change the meaning. You cannot take the exclusive meaning of "ethnicity" in modern English and read that back into the text, "ethnicity" is not "ethnos" There are other Greek words used in the Bible for groups of people. Three of them are in Revelation 5:9's statement of Christ by His blood purchasing people "out of every tribe, tongue, people, and nation": nation is 'ethnos', tribe is 'phule' which means descendants of a common ancestor i.e the tribes of Israel, tongue is 'glossa' i.e. language or speakers of a language, people is 'laos' which really means any assembly or group of people. There's also 'genos' which is used elsewhere in Scripture biblehub.com/greek/1085.htm , it means something like 'ethnos' but more specifically about ancestry/ethnicity/nationality. All of these words are fairly general and can mean many different things. People in the Greek-speaking world at this time had various ideas about the different groups of people in the world, they would use some of these words in a similar way that someone today could say "race", except they would be more specific. They could say "the Greek race", "the Latin/Roman race", "the Celtic race", etc. and they weren't refering to "just an ethnic group", they believed different groups of people were as different if not more different than some view races today. They had many different theories as to what caused those differences: education, environment, climate, influence of some spirit or god, the character of the group's ancestor, etc. , but they still believed there were differences. This way of thinking continued into the age of colonization, European explorers and writers originally used "race" and "people"(meaning ethnicity as we say it) interchangeably, every group of people was just a different group. There was an Arabian or Chinese "race" just like there was a French or Russian "race". This meaning didn't go away, what happened was that over time the number of "distinct races" went down in most peoples' minds from hundreds or thousands to a much smaller number. You can call them and their beliefs "racist" if you want, but they still properly understood what Scripture said: Jesus is calling men out of EVERY tribe, tongue, people, and nation. "Oh wow, look at how big the world is and how many different kinds of people there are! I should preach the Gospel to them because the Bible says men of every ethnos have been purchased by Christ's blood!". None of this is changed by what is or isn't different about these different groups of people. Finally, I'll say that denying the existence of different races is not an effective response to modern leftist, atheistic racial agitation, and more importantly it's not a Scriptural response. Atheistic leftists want to take advantage of the things that differentiate groups of people to cause chaos, mistrust, and ultimately sin. Scripture has a powerful message which defies that, and as I hope I've showed above it's not that there really aren't different groups of people or that those different groups don't have any meaningful differences (you can believe that if you like but Scripture doesn't say that). The powerful message is the Gospel: no matter what divides the tribes tongues peoples and nations of humanity, men out of ALL of them are united to eachother by being united with Jesus Christ. Just as Jews and Gentiles (literally ethnoi: the nations) are united together as branches on the same vine, it logically follows that men of all of those nations are also joined together. Not that they were never really different nations, but rather that despite being of different nations they have been united to each other for the glory of God. The answer to the racial conflict in this country is not to deny that there are white people and black people; the answer is to declare that whatever facts of race divide them in this world, black and white people are united as brothers and sisters through Jesus Christ.

Why was sola scriptura never taught or believed before the 16th century? Why do none of the early Church Fathers teach the “Bible alone” as the Christian Rule of Faith? Where do you find the concept of the “Bible alone” in the pages of OT or NT? Responding to the second man in the panel.....Mary was NOT sinful!!!!!!! She was born without the stain of original sin through the preventive grace of her divine Son and remained sinless and a Virgin until she was assumed into Heaven at the end of her time on earth.
