I hope these questions help narrow down your day care search. What is your biggest concern with daycare?

Totally agree some had mentioned. The intention is genuine, but some are misguided. Each states has different rules and regulations. I have 3 children and the center they went requires to only wash their bedsheet once a week except if soil. And only wash the bedsheet that used by drop ins that’s used by different children. Expecting my child provider to wash bedding daily is just unrealistic since we don’t even wash bedsheet daily at home. With my 3 children, they never wash their bed sheets daily as they have their own assigned crib, bed sheets and blanket.

Awww your baby girl is soo beautiful! I really liked how you started with the importance of looking at their license and certifications first. Great tips, thanks for sharing.

GREAT points here! I remember those days so well and you bring up a lot of details I didn't think of at the time but I agree after the fact those are really important - e.g. tracking! I LOVED good communication with providers!

@@officialmakingmoneywithmama You covered so many, and did a great job! Two more that might be of interest to families are: 1. Is there an early childhood curriculum/philosophy you follow? and 2. Do you adhere to any quality standards...such as NAEYC, or ECERS, and what are your ratings? If they do, they are above and beyond state licensing :)

You can go through allll of that and your child still can get neglected really noticed how your child responds even and infant know your child period of course they will have to be going there for you to notice if your child is giving you a sign that something is wrong run 🤔🙄

My biggest concern is will my baby nap in their rooms if he is only used to sleeping in his crib or stroller? Also I would be concerned that he wouldn't get as much attention as if he was with me and he would hurt himself. Also I would be concerned about separation anxiety for the both of us! It will be hard for me to be away from him 🥺
@officialmakingmoneywithmama
@officialmakingmoneywithmama 4 жыл бұрын
It is definitely being hard from the little one! I cried my way to work my whole first week back! But everyone told me it is about QUALITY of time spent not quantity and they are right! That is why I think finding a child care that will provide constant updates and photos to help ease the separation is important! Napping and attention is obviously super important as well. Definitely take a look around when touring daycares to see how observant they are to the kids. Many daycares I toured had workers with children in the center as well so that made me feel a little better that there were mommy workers! Eventually the little one will adjust to napping in a new environment it may just take them a few days :) Best of luck to you, I am here for support should you ever need it!

I'm looking into a day care but the lady that would be watching my baby said she has her license before she adopted her kids but now she doesn't have it because she "didn't want to deal with politics" does that make sense?

Depending on the daycare center, usually the children are assigned with cots and blankets that are labeled just for them❤ If the children were sharing cots and blankets everyday then absolutely! lol Otherwise if a child is only laying on there assigned blanket and the blankets aren’t touching, only 1x week is necessary per Licensing regulations

exactly my thought 😂 Like what? expecting my child provider to wash bedding daily? just unrealistic since we don’t even wash bedsheet daily at home. Yeah except if it has other different children using the crib. With my 3 children, they never wash their bed sheets daily as they have their own assigned crib, bed sheets and blanket

You are misinformed because when a daycare centre is licensed, they MUST respect the ratio determined by the licensing body. If they do not respect the ratio, their license can be revoked. Another aspect that you are misguided about is regarding the frequency of bed sheet washing, which is required to be done once a week, not daily as you mentioned. There were many others aspects that you did not provide accurate information about and that I will not address because otherwise, this post would be too long. The intention of your video is genuine, but make sure you get acquainted with the regulations and policies in your area before creating expectations about daycare centres.
